Here's my 2nd thread since being out for awhile --
I forgot who said it (stupid me), but I was reading the "I've been a Knick fan for 33 years" thread, and one of our posters said how that 92 team with Oak, Ewing, and XMan at SF was the best team he's ever seen, and how Marv commented that Pippen and Jordan looked dejected out there caz of how thugish we were back then.
Anyway, the games changed ALOT since then, but here's a list of some attainable players I think can help us get back to that grunge ghetto style of Knick basketball:
Reggie Evans Danny Fortson Stephen Jackson Andres Nocioni Antonio Daniels Kenyon Martin Lindsey Hunter Bobby Jackson Jeff Foster Anderson Veraejo
Just for Kicks:
Rasheed Wallace Ron Artest Ben Wallace Jermaine O'Neal etc, etc.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure.
And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I'd rather have tough guys like Ewing and Oak than wannabe thugs.
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like

See, this is exactly wrong. We don't need more of these macho tough-guy types. We need more sweet, sensitive types who aren't afraid to cry. We need guys who aren't afraid to show their feminine sides, and are willing to talk at length about their feelings.

for the record, since we'll never ever ever have a franchise player, i'd try to and wamboozle artest from the kings during his re-up year, and try to get reggie evans.
trade curry next year for bpa.
marbury crawford artest evans frye
i think if frye keeps up his work ethic he can become a 20 and 9 player in 35+ minutes...

Frye will never become a 20 and 9 player. Are you serious? You do understand that after he reaches a certain level, he will be subject to double teams right? I see 15 and 6 written all over him.
Guys please

The real Knicks played for Red Holzman and won titles, the thug Knicks did nothing but lose to Jordan, or, if he was playing baseball, choke in the finals.

You telling me you dont look back fondly on those days?
No, losing in the playoffs is embarrassing. I rooted for them, but I hated their brand of ball and their inability to get Ewing a consistent PG and outside shooter after the got rid of Jackson and Strickland.
