Yes i can say this after watching him for 20 minutes of preseason basketball.. Yes I said it.. Crucify me.. go ahead. But this fat bastard has not improved one bit, you can see it. Its so obvious. Sad man.. Very sad.. Mardy Collins looks like a whole lot of nothing.

Now those are the only 2 negatives i saw from this game... Everyone else looks to have improoved greatly. Especially Qrich(wow whole new player) Frye, Steve, Lee. Balkman looks great, Jeffries is just what we needed. Im very impressed, even stephon looks to have improved his MINDSTATE... But Eddy man.. Eddy oh Eddy..

i listed steve as an improved player - you dont agree? I think he had some bad turnovers and bad defense but looks to be in a lot better shape

i think he looks in better shape too but he did not play a good game in my opinion. Im really hoping its just rust, the first game, whatever. B/c if not he really did fall far from what he used to be.

he wasn't looking to dominate the ball, he gave it up a lot and got some rebounds. he just needs to score in the flow. he looked much better than last year.

curry looked bad.

Steve played poorly today. Marbury led the team in points but he was quiet. Curry totally looks out of shape though. Not impressed by him, but hopefully it's just a pre season thing.

that's a good game for steph to quietly lead the team in scoring. both francis and marbury played within the flow of the game.

curry's offensive fouls are a major issue at this point. a lot of them are borderline, but he's got to earn the officials respect to get those calls

Yeah you're right. I was just looking at Francis's TOs, but at least he seems to be trying to get rid of the me first attitude. I would still like to see them look for Frye more though. He looked ignored at times.

I dont htink they are borderline he just runs people over..... Steve to me just looked better than last year thats all i was saying - Still diddnt have a great game, But better than last year. He needs to improve his Defense and outside shot imo....

David Lee was awesome, him and Balkman are quite a combo.......

Back to Curry, The thing im upset about is... Not only does he not look to be in ANY better shape than last year (he might actually be fatter) - He hasent raised his "Offensive Awareness" at all... He just barrels over people... I dont understand it!

I'm with you on that one bud, I think Curry should be a cleanup man, not featured. Frye is a featured kind of player.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Curry always does better when the flow of the play is away from him and the defense can't just key on him. He's a monster when he has space and our team is gonna keep puttin pressure on teams to defend our guards and when they leave Curry BAM!!!! That's when he's gonna start killin teams.

I wouldn't get worked up over anybody after just one game or even a handful of games. Good or bad.

i agree with everyone on that except for curry. Atleast Francis was trying to play differently. Curry played exactly the same way as last year. That same stupid moves that always ends with an offensive foul. That is very disturbing.

Regardless man the game was good. The knicks actually looked deadly at something on the basketball court and it wasn't the other team destroying them this time.

The guys were getting preseason minutes, and competition with Carter and kidd out. Knicks still looked good man. When the clamps are tight and the games count I think the knicks actually have a good shot at a win.

See you at the home opener man and we will drink coronas baby and piss orange and blue after the game!

I'm as hyped as I have been in like a year. Come on man it just feels good, bro.

I think Curry looked HORRIBLE. Eddy is out of shape and not ready too play the 82 game season that the NBA has setup. Eddy has all the talent in the world but his mindset is completely off base and I don't think Isiah will EVER live down giving up Tyrus Thomas for Eddy Curry.

He did look pretty bad but he didn't look as fat as he was at the end of last season. Balkman-Lee tag team will harrass everyone on the other team. perfect for grabbing the loose ball and hte offensive rebound. They can make up for Curry's lack of D if they play next to him.

The kind of defense the Nets play gets to Eddy Curry. They collapse very quickly and their quick outlet pass makes him look even worse. I think Eddy will be much much better against a team like Philly tonite. Its a goddamn shame the game isn't televised. I tihnk Eddy will be fine after 10 games. Remember, we are still not the kind of team that wins more games that it loses.

I am really disappointed in Curry. I was looking for improvement and like everyone else here has mentioned, he looked exactly the same. He might be in slightly better condition, but he still commits offensive fouls at an alarming rate. But that was not even what I was most concerned with. What really bothered me was that he played absolutely no defense. He needs to be a shot blocker and show up on defense and on no less than three occasions, he was late rotating down and cutting off the lane. This guy has the ability but he is not making it happen. I know it is only one game, but I am starting to think that this guy will never be a franchise caliber center. I hope I am wrong. His only saving grace is that he has some of the best hands in basketball. His ability to catch a ball in traffic and score is amazing. But until he improves his defense, he simply cannot play more than 25-30 minutes for us. The rest of the minutes should be given to Frye and Lee. Curry may become the Kevin Duckworth of this generation, which is ashame.
