This is not so much a shot about James and his injuries but about the Knicks medical staff.

Is it me or do these guys always seem to give the Knicks players bad medical evals?

"James would not say if he is upset over the possibility that the Knicks' medical staff misdiagnosed his injury last week at the College of Charleston. The 7-1 James originally was diagnosed with a plantar fascia injury, or partial tear.

Dr. Lisa Callahan, the Knicks' director of player care, elected not to have James take an MRI in Charleston. In fact, James decided to run wind sprints with the team, a move that could have exacerbated his condition.

Maybe it was the Big Mac's he was eating after practice that caused him to gain so much weight his foot couldnt handle it?

the big game simply cannot get a break. i say it's just a small bump in the road of his comeback player of the year campaign.

ITs called "Practicing medicine" for a reason!

It ain't perfect science.

95% of the time they get it right, the rest of the time its a media event.

I think that the medical exemption is for the same injury not allowing someone to play. Jerome has been injured about 9,957 different ways.

I think IT told Jerom:
"Go and break you foot. You can't play anyway.
You get 30 Mils and we need Medical Exception.
Go to our doctors and they will f..ed you leg in a minute.
They know how to do this.
Othervise - you will run suicides with Eddy all year long!!!"

This is the same injury that ended Glen Rice's career.

Point being? In order to get a medical exemption, the player has to be proven not to be able to play over a period of time. And it has to be one injury, you don't get a M.E. for being injury prone.

Point being: maybe this is the one. When did I ever say that he would get an M.E. for being injury prone? I am just hoping this one knocks him out for good!

Jerome needs to be healthy for the season opener. Nobody mentioned Jackie butler yet, I'm suprised. Jerome is curry's primary back-up. If the season started now the knicks would have to load up frye at center. I think that's what the game plan is anyway but Jerome is needed in limited minutes to spell frye and curry when needed.

Sucks but he has like 3 weeks or so to get right.

Frye can handle backup centers fine, especially now with the 12 or so pounds of muscle he's added. I'd rather see him be backup C even if Jerome is healthy.

I guess we only have to worry about big Jerome is when we go to divisional finals against Shaq and the Heat. otherwise, its not big deal.

Jerome was an exellent pick up. ONe day we can use his "expiring contract"!

WHere is the Bonn man when you need him?
