uh, charlotte? no way. okafor is not reliable because of injury. morrison will struggle in the beginning ( though i think he will light it up around february and march) andthough felton had a good april, he still have to prove himself to play like that for the season. i am not saying that the knicks should be up there ( even though they should with their current lineup) but i would put milwaukee and even philly up there before charlotte.

Pacers aren't going anywhere. They are a mess. Knicks will be better than Charlotte and Washington. I doubt Chicago end up at #1.

3. Cleveland
4. Detroit
5. New Jersey

7. Washington
8. Toronto
9. Milwaukee
10. New York

I still think the Knicks have a shot at the 8th seed but I wouldn't call them favorites to make the playoffs.

Knicks will be very close with Washington, Indy and the Bucks. Bucks will miss TJ Ford a lot. I'm not saying they're a lock for the playoffs, but they'll be in the mix. Charlotte will not be in the mix. If Wade or Bron goes down, Miami or Cleveland will miss the playoffs.

If Big Ben was the player he was four years ago, I'd say getting him puts them past Miami. But he's declined a bit. He's still very good--good enough for me to predict that they go from a .500 team to a .600 or .650 team, but not quite good enough to push them ahead of the defending champs. I'm not really expecting their rookies to be big time difference makers.

NJ ahead of Chicago? I don't know about that. NJ has better gaurds but the difference in the frontcourt is much bigger IMO (and in favor of Chi).

The tie between Orlando and Orlando is interesting!

this season, no other nba coach goes into the frying pan like zeke will

with that kind of heat knicks should place in the top 5.

nothing against anyone's picks i could care less how the other teams place

Detroit falls this year.

Charlotte is getting there. Oka4 has $$$$ year coming. Team is coached well and plays hard.

Orlando is good if Hill is 80% of what he was and Darko can shoot.

Clevelend is over rated, but still top 8 team.

Nets are better than most people think.

Bucks? Good. Certainly better than Knicks!

Bullets still a playoff team.

Knicks must get off to a good start! If not, it can melt down again. Tough schedule but they most start fast!

1. Heat
2. Bulls (Had no interior defense from big last year added Wallace, Brown, Thomas)
3. NJ (wins division and is improved a little)
4. Detriot
5. Cavs (terrible supporting cast but Lebron)
6. Washington (too much scoring not to get there)
7. Orlando (we can't handle Howard, Nelso gives our guards problems; and everyone is underestimating Darko, Dumars had a horrid year and performed in the bottom five executive wise in my opinion by letting darko, and arroyo go for nothing)
8. Pacers (have a nice bench with Granger/Harrison and good depth upfront Jackson, JO, Foster)
9. Bucks/Knicks (Francis, Richardson, Frye and Lee look like the only ones that committed themselves and their bodies this summer)

1. Bulls (55-27) - still, no interior scoring...hurts them in the playoffs
2. NJ (55-27) - as long as Kidd is healthy (perhaps a big if)
3. Cavs (52-30) - I expect a big year from Hughes
4. Det (49-33) - Team takes a major hit on the interior. Great back court still merits 49 wins.
5. Indi (48-34) - Best frontline in the East.
6. Mia (47-35) - I think they'll mail it in (especially Shaq, until the playoffs).
7. Wash (43-39) - Wiz, Knicks, Bucks, Magic = mad dash to the finish
8. Knicks (42-40)

Outside looking in: Bucks (41-41), Magic (41-41)

Then we beat the Nets in round 1.
