Eddy Curry is either one of two things - Lazy or Physically incapable.

I unfortunately believe its the 2nd.

Curry has reportedly been training all summer, he shows in his drill that he wants to succeed by not sitting out. He would have to be mentally retarded to not realise how much was riding on him this year and that an entire storied franchise has the majority of their stock placed in his lap. So for him not to do his absolute best this summer to get in shape is absolutely incomprehensable. Not only on his side but on the Knicks coaching staff's side - There is no way Isiah could have not had this man working out this summer with a designated trainor(even tho reports were scattered).

So unfortunately, I am concluding - Something is wrong with this man Phsyically. Weather it is his heart or not is up for debate, But some people just dont have the same stamina/physical capabilities as others. Lets not forget this man went how many seasons in Chicago not being able to play more than 25 min or so a game? Im sure they had him working out, and im sure this problem came up with them also. Unfortunately, I believe we have been sold Defective Goods

Malik Rose was out of shape last year, Terribly. Nobody really said it because who gives a **** hes horrible anyways, But this man contributed to championship teams, and when he did - he was in far better shape. Malik last year had a VISABLE GUT at all times and this year in the training camp pics i could see it once again - This guy is totally out of shape and suprise suprise - He injured his hamstring (Classic injury for someone who just simply isnt keeping himself conditioned properly)

Jerome James - God........ What a Joke... I actually believe he gave it a shot this summer to get healthy.. i think he just has bad ****in luck... Torn whatever itus in his foot? Will this detur him all year? I wouldent doubt it.

Oh yea, and Steph still doesent get it.

WE'RE FUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rose isn't playing this year, JJ is a situational starter at best as we have 4 capable front court players ahead of him.

And Shaq couldn't run that many sprints.

once again, not concerned.

And to say JJ hurt his foot because he's lazy is absurd.

I agree about Curry, I'm scared but I want to wait for a few regular season games to be played.

oh, sorry, it was more a general response...it's late over here and I'm heading out.

I retract that part...you could tell it was a quick thought as I could have stopped after the line "I'm not concerned" but wanted to make sure everyone knew that JJ could have performed this year had that not happened as all signs pointed to a quality 5 to 10 minutes a game.

Curry is the player we want to be awesome, and if he is awesome.

50 wins.

Being winded and having your teamates have to HELP YOU FINISH after your coach asked you if you needed to sit out because you were embaressing yourself in front of the media is 2 very different things

Don't be scared. Be a man and stop sniveling! We can't just turn to jelly at the first sign of adversity.

Can we wait for the season to start, and see the team play some games before we start whining and crying like a bunch of bitches?

When you say helped, what exactly do you mean? Are you saying he used Q and Lees shoulders as a crutch to the finish line? There are differing reports about this. One report says that Lee and Q simply slowed down and ran along side Curry which showed some team unity. Im encouraged by the show of unity than concerned about a 280lb man struggling to keep up with forwards and guards duirng suicides on the first day of practice.

I don't dare how muc working-out you do, Suicides is one of the most strenous cardiovascular work-outs you can do. If your not winded after running suicides, your were slacking up.

Seriously, we've had one day of practice, and we have some reporters' impressions of Curry to go on. I want to let the Knicks get ready and start the season, and play some games before I try to make a judgment.

And did anyone really expect Jerome James to make any contributions to this team, other than providing comic relief?

Yeah, but I remember the year Camby came in in great shape - he'd put on additional muscle - then spent the season with plantar fasciatis (sp)?
