I can't wait to see Frye and Curry dunking on Mo Taylor. I wish he went to a team we got to play more than twice a year.

"Kings coach Eric Musselman expects to use Taylor as a backup center behind Brad Miller."

That can't be smart...

I predict that Artest will kick his ass before the All-Star break.

I'll take bets for the first pre-season game when the ball is glued to his hands.

personally i've watched Mo Taylor completely own Kurt Thomas in games they played against each other when KT was a Knick... the guy can ball, but last year was simply a debacle of epic proportions on all levels... Mo T isn't to be singled out by any means... i'd place a helluva lot more blame on some of the so-called "leaders" on this team than on a role player who hardly got any regular playing time last year...

that said, i have a feeling Mo T will help that SAC team... he will help form a very physical front court backing up Kenny Thomas & playing alongside Brad Miller, Artest & Big Nasty.

I agree with TMS. I wasn't a huge fan of his, but he'll fit in nicely with Sacratomato. He can still play a little defense and bang a little, and of course he'll be instant offense that they'll need off the bench.

Bad chemistry makes players look worse. He didn't fit in here and needed to go, but he isn't that bad a player. In the right role he can be a good scorer.

Just goes to show that Isiah had absolutely no plan for the guy, just traded for him to make it look like he was doing soemthing and cause a buzz. Pointless trade.

or had no plans for vin and moochie and wanted the roster spot for another player.

it was a one year trade, in a multiple year plan for a player that was expiring one year later than the two players he traded.

Sounds like a plan to me, not something to do to cause a buzz.

And definitely not a pointless trade...he just didn't work out, so we replaced him with curry.

just my opinion, but the spin forced me to reply...not sure why that was the direction it had to go in though.

MoT was a good post up player that could hit an open jumper, he was replaced by Channing Frye and Eddy Curry.

Would you have had a plan for him this year?

The same plan is in place for Malik Rose with David Lee.

So feel free to bookmark these comments when Rose resigns with the Spurs next year.

The Mo T trade was bad no matter what. We had a backcourt glut already when we traded for him, we took his longer contract for an contract that expired this Summer. We didn't get any draft picks and we gave up a 2nd rounder. How in anyway did it make sense? We already had Sweetney and Kurt Thomas doing our backcourt scoring that season. So what was the point of a short term fix? Plus, I thought Moochie was doing pretty decent for us in limited minutes. Nothing was good about that trade. Nothing.

and MoT is contributing more than sweetney and kurt thomas combined.

It was about talent, and he will still contribute more then kurt and sweetney combined.

I'm not broken up about it. it was a rental.

from a monetary standpoint, it was a bad trade for the Knicks to make, but most fans are more upset that they had to give up a draft pick on top of taking on his salary in the deal... this is why fans have a problem w/Isiah... he consistently gives up more than it should require to get the players he trades for... it's not the talent of the player that's in question (except for Jerome James of course, who has no talent to speak of, but that was a FA signing & was a horrible move to make regardless of the terms of that deal)

i happen to think Mo T had alot more to contribute to this team than he was allowed to give... but that's water under the bridge now.

Exactly from the get go he was fighting with 3 or 4 other guys that did the exact same thing as he did. What was the point? and a year later he was cut at the expense of a draft pick and salary. He didn't work out because there was no role for the guy fromt he beginning. Pointless trade. Not the end of the world but a pointless trade.
