Hey we were gonna need practice players so what's the big deal. Anyway one of these guys is better than having Mo on the bench complaining all year.

Desperate is not the word. Life or death. It's either play for the Knicks or start delivering Dominoes Pizza on a ten speed bike.

Good signings by IT. I'm not expecting alot from these guys but I think the one guy that still does have potential is Skita. He's been with a few teams and they've all grown tired with him, but hes still 23, he's still 7feet tall, and he's still got that sweet jumper. Maybe Aguirre can finally reach him with the rebounding and defense. Elton Brown has a chance to become the second coming of our favorite Jackie-Blue, and Paul Miller can become a Center with a nice shooting stroke and the ability to rebound the ball and play average to above-average defense. Brown and Miller will make excellent role players, Skita will be all or nothing, he has the ability and athleticism to be a good player in this league, he just has to tap it.

a good signing would have been Jackie Butler. And if any of these guys pans out to be good player we will let them go because we have Jerome and he's locked in

From what I've seen of Elton Brown on the college level, he's no where close to Jackie Butler. He does have a decent jumper for a big though...he might turn into a half decent scorer if all the stars allign for him.

Tskita and Paul Miller fit in with the Suns-East theory. The switch may never turn on for Tskita, but you have nothing to lose by inviting him to camp. Tskita would be my prediction for the guy most likely to stick.

Didn't someone say that having Butler was like having another lottery pick? Wasn't that Larry or Isiah? Blueseats, find the quote. Apparently he was a lottery pick that did not fit into the plans, especially after Jerome James became available. Actually he was part of the plans when JJ became available. He just wasn't part of the plan after JJ was signed and EC became available. Must have been just another bill of goods or another change in plans. One or the other.

I totally agree Fish. I was a big fan of Jackie and was one of the few people who was wondering why Isiah didn't keep him. Not keeping him becuase Jerome James is already on the roster is stupider than stupid. It's one thing to make mistakes, the JJ signing was a mistake, but to compound and let go Jackie Blue because you want your first mistake to play, is absolutely dumb.

Either way, lets hope Elton Brown turns into Jackie Blue Version 2.0 and this time Isiah keeps him. I'm not holding my breathe though.

I think Isiah said it was like having another draft pick, not another lottery pick. But I share Fish's disappointment that Jerome is on the roster and Jackie is not.

i can't stand hearing about how paul miller's jumper or elton brand's offensive skills is going to make a difference on this team. if you want to make the knicks' 15th roster spot, you've got to offer something we don't have 1-14. a jump shot is nice. if that's your big selling point, i don't want you. i want to hear stuff like, "a beast on the boards," "hard-nosed defender," or, god forbid, "atheltic shotblocker." our fifteenth player will barely get any shots this season. i want him to be able to do something besides score.

I hear you Masterplan, and I agree. That is why I think Skita has a good shot at making the squad (I am not saying he is will be a productive player.), because he is a deep-shooting specialist from what I gather, and we don't have a straight up shooter. It doesn't hurt that he is 7 feet tall either. 7 footers have a habit of getting way more chances than under 7 foot players, even if they never pan out.

I just don't think that athletic hard-nosed guy is in this crop candidates.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I think you guys need to let go of Jackie already. Isiah held on to Jackie, snatching him up from the CBa. Isiah is the one that have him guranteed money right of the bat. I think isiah had to make a decision and the dude signed with more money is gonna win every time. Its very obvious butler owes isiah a lot for getting his foot in the door. Still the same way isiah got butler from nowhere, he can get another, like Paul miller and Elton brown. No body knew who these cats were same could be said of Jackie.

On a side note about skeet, skeet......that dude could easily do what the knicks paid Jared to do. Imagine if skeet, skeet finally plays well and the knicks have to keep him. That would be anoying.
