Larry Brown wants 53 million

I think he will get a portion of the original 41 mil, but 53 mil no way. I can see him getting about 32 mil and should be happy. After all he did screw up in so many ways.

He's not to get more than the value of the original contract, so this is probably just some stunt to stick it to Dolan.

I hope larry sticks it to Dolan.

I hope he gets fried on AnuchaGate, and the options scandel.

There are 100 investigations nationwide over this, but seems Cablevisions backdating options on a dead man seems to take the cake.

Let's remember that MSG floated that original buyout number of 25M through the press (speaking to an employee thru the press is a violation of MSG policy, but I don't think Dolan will fire himself over it), so I'd venture this is just a counter from Brown so that any compromise solution comes in at around the ~40M he's already owed.

based strictly on principles, brown did a ****ty job in year 1 so he shouldn't get everything. in reality, who cares about Dolan's money.

brown could up the ante all he wants to. imho, no way he deserves the 40 mil. after getting more attention with media release as such maybe the real agenda could be stern creating some kind of coaching ammendment..."larry brown rules"

Just being associated in anyway with the NBA is lucrative. This is not dog-doo, this is tier 1 type of CEO buyout money. No one will ever know what the outcome is via confidential clauses[although those tend to not work well]. Fifty fcking million dollars for 7 months?

Isn't it odd that such "astute" managers as Isiah and Dolan should be involved in simultaneous legal challenges by Brown and Browne?
