Would you trade Mo Taylor, David Lee AND Nate Rob for Chris Wilcox and Cap filler?

I would. Discuss.

I think Wilcox is the type of PF we need to play next to Curry. Rugged. Beastly. Young. Never seriously injured while playing in the NBA (to my knowledge).

Or we could trade David Lee, Nate Rob and Jerome James straight up for Wilcox.

I would not. Wilcox still has to prove that his performance for the last half of the season was not simply a contract year push. He has an excuse b/c he never got consistent PT before, but before we trade good young players like Lee and Nate, I would want to be confident that Wilcox is going to bring it every night. Plus, giving up Lee and Nate might be too much. Nate has the potential to be a dynamic scorer in this league.

No- Lee and Nate are both players you win with- they are not going to be stars, but they bring energy.

What did Wilcox do? Have a break out half year? Can you say Jerome James and Tim Thomas?

Wilcox is getting starter money, and I kind of like Frye as our starter going forward.

I do think we need a defensive type presence to complete a three man foward/center rotation, but I think as long as Dlee and Malik are on the roster I think they are getting minutes.

Wilcox played well with the clippers when Kaman was hurt and he got playing time, so I think he's the real deal, not just a contract year guy. He was just stuck behind one of the better front courts in the league with the clips. But I don't want to commit that kind of money unless he's going to be our starter next to EC, in which case we probably would need to move frye.

I think Wilcox could start next to EC, with Frye backing up both PF and the C spot.

The knock on Wilcox is that he is not a smart player and loses focus during games. Is he a real upgrade from Lee? Not really. Can you win long term with him? Probably not.

I could see wilcox turning into an oakley type player - he's strong, athletic, has good rebounding instincts, and is a good defensive player. he also doesn't try to play out of his element. I think he would be a good long term fit next to curry - if EC can't stay out of foul trouble then maybe frye could log minutes at backup C and PF, maybe he can get about 30-36 minutes a game.

Absolutely Not. Way too much for a one year wonder with a questionable work ethic at this point.

Any PF coming to NY is just going to delay the development of Frye and Lee. Enough is Enough...throw these 2 in the fire and lets see what they got.

Wilcox is a monster and is probably the most athletic pf in the league I would rather have him than eddy curry, and would never do this deal, he is another guy that is very lazy.....

and lets not make nate out to be a winner, he has a lot to prove and this team would have been better with someone that is going to get players the ball, he is way out of control.....

Lee I would not give up since he runs the floor and plays hard, and is very smart with the ball, he is more valuable than Frye in my opinion who doesn't have much athletic ability and is very awkard when he isn't shooting a jumper.....

I going to have to say no and it's not the kool aid talking. lee's rebounding per minute averages, in last year's herky jerky role, are more than enough to convince me that he will succeed here...add the chemistry he has with frye and curry being subbed for doesn't scare me so much.

Nate...well, he can go. I like the guy, but I like Franchise much much more (and that's saying alot...franchise can dunk too).

If you replace Lee with QRich, then you may be onto something, if you replace nate with MRose, deal.
all kool aid all the time.

You know what Nate proved last year? He cares and tries during games. He might have been out of control a lot last year, but there were games down the stretch where there were flashes of nate in control.

I disagree, Nate's defense didn't show me that at all.
