It's too bad everyone else in the world was as wonderful a person as Dikembe. Maybe him having a ton of money helps, but still. There are plenty who do have it.

Why do you we have to compare at all. What about comparing those who give and those who don't. It's a wonderful thing that Steph did this time and the way he's donated in the past. I don't think we should try to "belittle" what he did just becuase he didn't give as much as someone else. When people are in need, every little bit counts. Everyone can play a part in giving.
NY KNICKS 4 EVER! Will we ever find players like Anthony Mason, Xavier McDaniels, Patrick Ewing again? I hope so.

No. I think Marbury is a very charitable guy and is worth admiration, but Mutombo is so good that Marbury couldn't hold is jock. Not dissing Marbury at all really. Just stating that it's amazing what Deke is doing out in Africa.

but yeah Allen...Marbury's name could have been left out of the title.

Mutombo is a great person...he is one person that you will continue to hear about after he is done with Basketball.

No, Marbury stole my hopes for the Knicks winning a championship in the next 3 years while he's on this team. Thats what he stole.

You've got to be kidding me? Steph is stopping this team from winning a CHAMPIONSHIP in the next 3 years? What kind of reasoning is that? That's just silly. For one thing this team isn't anywhere close to a title and that has NOTHING to do with Steph. How about we let this team develop and grow towards the playoffs and then title contention.

This year we'll see just how much more effective Steph is when he's not being messed with and he has some dependable talent around him. I think all of you Steph haters are gonna be eating your words this year.

I still don't see why Steph has to be brought down in order to make Dikembe look better. Dikembe doesn't need any help in looking like the generous human being that he is.

Blah Blah Blah, the same old stuff about how Marbury has never played with talent, blah blah blah the same stuff about how Steph has no fault in the Knicks losing seasons since he's gotten here. It's pathetic and I'm sick of it. Win some freaking games if your such a good player. Since Marbury has been acquired the Knicks have gone straight down the tubes, the losing has to stop and and the whining has to stop as well.

By your logic anyone can post any thread comparing Mutombo to anyone to try to make them seem less than what they are...

example:
AllanFan20 is a nice guy... but he can't hold Mutombo's Jock Strap

logic prevails... yes it is probably true... but is it really necessary.. or pointful.. no.. not really.. unless I was out to make you look bad.

Well Bip, I always kinda wanted to be like Marbury. He's been my role model since he came to the Wolves and was then traded to the Nets. I always appreciated how he brought his teammates down, especially a guy who was playing so well with Sam Cassell (Van Horn) and then did the complete opposite as Cassell and started to ruin the structure of the team, sending it into a hopeless oblivian, only to have King Kidd clean that Marbury mess up, and breath life into Kenyon Martin and Kerry Kittles and Richard Jefferson, while Marbury continued to run a circus known as the Phoenix Suns, only to be later saved by Emperor Nash.

So what's really the main objective of this post. I just want people to understand how caring Dikembe Mutombo is and that Marbury finally has someone to look up to.

Well it depends on the sentence structure Bip. For example, it would make sense for me to say "From this point on, I am gonna throw my beer on Marbury at the games and blame it on nyvector so that he gets kicked out and not me."

Or I can say "From now on, I will think Dikembe is superior to Marbury."

But I can throw good Ol' Uncle Charlie and say "FOR now on, Marbury is just a pansy and will always get booed by me."

It's tough decision making and I am glad to be the one to be put in those situations. I will be proud to be the hero or goat of UK.
