This thing is just too darn slow. And there's nothing else to do in the off-season.

Im in for $5. Who's with me?

After last season, antacid would be a better sponsor. Or Kevorkian.

Thanks. We actually do have a PayPal thing all set up but just haven't gotten around to fully understanding how we would like to use it. Like this: could we add some functionality that would be kinda cool for those who put in $1 or something. Asking for straight donations sounds lame but it could be worthwhile. We are definitely thinking of something concrete for this upcoming season.

BTW, I just finished adding YouTube support for the forums just last night.... probably see it up and running soon.

I've been in touch with our ISP about this whole thing and haven't gotten too far. We host our own stuff and I'm pretty sure our firewall/webserver are AOK, but we are still on it.

Maybe we should all chip in and spring for a colocated server to run UK.

I would kick in $5.00. Paypal might be the easiest way to do it.

and just like that things seem to be smooth again. Must have been outside of us. 'Course the support guy I was talking to last night sounded completely stoned, so maybe he just sobered up.

co-locating is a good idea though

That's how it is with TW. I go to www.dslreports.com and check the TimeWarner forum whenever I have slowdowns. That way I know if it's just me, or more widespread. So far it has always been widespread.

You could buy a rack mount server and colocate it for 3 years for probably around 5K, or do a managed server thing with someone like rackspace.

But I'm sure guys would want to contribute and not have BRIGGS foot the whole bill. Maybe take donations and let us get a little icon next to our names show what good members of the community we are.

I rebooted the router and it looks like it is a bit faster. Is it back to normal for everyone else?
