Now I'll start off by saying I hope Eddy lives to 125 and gets to play basketball for 15 more years. BUT, IF his condition prevents him from playing basketball ANYTIME soon, it's NOT an excuse. This is d9wn Larry's lane. they did the DD, they live with the end product-- and God forbid anything drastic happens to this man---it will be on other people's shoulders.

What heart condition? The one people say he doesn't have before using it as an excuse as to why he came into camp and the season out of shape?

I don't get it... what's the point of bringing this up? There's been a lot of negative predictions about the season thrown out there but this takes the cake.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

It wasn't a heart condition to begin with. It was those darn day burners. I don't care what the reports say.

They shut curry down for a while and they cleared him to play right when he got with the knicks.

Old news get over this already and watch out for and asteroid I hear they like to attack uk posters in the middle of the night.

Eddy Curry's "Heart Problem"

When a man's an empty kettle
He should be on his mettle
And yet I'm torn apart
Just because I'm presumin'
That I could be kinda human
If I only had a heart

I'd be tender
I'd be gentle
And awful sentimental
Regarding love and art
I'd be friends with the sparrows
And the boy who shoots the arrows
If I only had a heart

Picture me
A balcony
Above a voice sings low
Where for art thou, Romeo?
I hear a beat
How sweet
Just to register emotion
Jealousy, devotion
And really feel the part
I could stay young and chipper
And I'd lock it with a zipper
If I only had a heart

RV, we are trying to run a Knicks website here. If you think this is a stupid thread, do as others have and state it right here. If you want to create crap threads, I would suggest other sites, but not here.

Why is that? Because the Bulls were ready to give him 20mm to retire? Because the NY Knicks cannot insure his heart? If they cant get insurance on his heart, it's for a reason. I want Curry to be healthy, I want the Knicks to succeed.

What I am saying is, I HOPE that the Knicks did MORE DD on Curry than they did on LB. It's kind of scary In Curry's case. I personally would LOVE for Curry to play great for 15 years. But I AM ALSO saying that there is NO more LB BS excuses. There is something to why Curry tires easily. Maybe he takes meds to control his heartbeat?
People really dislike hearing contrarion types of views. And I don't like going here, but it a piece of the MANGEMENT pie the fans have been put under. Eddy's cost to obtain has become tremendously high and I HOPE for a fact that he is NOT putting himself in harm's way or that they KNOW that the core piece we are building around is a ticking time bomb.
Is that an unreasonable thought process?

This just in: Marcus Williams had character issues at UConn.

Maybe we should all start a thread about that too...

And then another one about his body fat.

Briggs- bring this up if Curry is out of shape in training camp and doesn't at least look in shape at the start of the season.

I did not like the curry trade, and I did not like the LB selection, but there is a difference in what someone does in terms of due dili when getting a player with a medical condition and picking a coach.

The LB fiasco does not mean we didn't due thorough review of eddy's medicals.

In fact, LB continued a trend of IT picking HOF coaches that were bad choices.

Our new med person rejected some sf who was waived from the bulls because of a malformed toe. I forget who it was- and someone will surely remind me.

But, while I think the Curry deal was bad, I have a higher degree of faith that our med review was thorough. Or at least I hope.

I will be with you if he is out of shape in traing camp and the start of the season, though. And I think many here will be questioning his heart.

But its too early.

Go watch some football or baseball....

I agree (except about the asteroid part). A few years back when I was playing football I was trying everything short of juicing to get pounds on my frame. One of the things I tried while working out was ripped fuel. Its essentially caffiene and ephedra (now illegal). Same things they put in many diet pills. I got heart palpatations and some shakes as well.. its serious stuff. This was the only year Eddie ever showed up in shape also. Everyone knew he was riding the barbituate highway trying to keep off the pounds coming into his contract year.

I think Eddie is lazy and not dedicated to BB. I think we overpaid horribly for him. I also think 6'11 guys that can score at 55% and up from the field are good pieces to have. Hopefully he gets some focus, motivation or whatever and decides being a great hoops player is thats important to him. If Lee's SL style of play can translate to the pro level I think with JJ2 and Lee we have the guys we need to surround Eddie with to suceed.

I wonder if Franbury ever passes him the ball
