I'm looking at the Atlanta hawks.

Marvin Williams just had a dominant summer league and they have shelden, zaza, speedy, joe Johnson, childress, smith, stoudamire...

They have a lot of talent over there.

Toronto

the East is going to be very tough in a few years. Orlando and Milwaukee are going to be very good too.

If TJ is healthy, yeah Toronto's up there.
I agree about the East. I think it will completely dominate the West in a few years.

the East had a bunch of years of top lotto picks. they got the top four players of the decade in the lotto in Bron, Wade, Dwight and Bogut and then Bosh and Hinrich, etc. (Not to mention Curry, Frye and Crawford! ha!) Only real difference maker to be drafted by the West has been Amare (and he's still not 100% healthy) and maybe Melo and maybe Pau. The West can balance it out a little if they get Oden, so we'll see. but it looks like the East will be superior for quite a few years.

edit: oh yeah, the West has Chris Paul as well. that could be a pretty big one...

Point Guards are only as good as the players they have on their teams. No player can win by themself.

I think the Bobcats are going to surprise. They played some good defense last year, but lacked offensive punch in the 4th quarter. Morrison looks like he is going to average 17-19 points a game as a rookie and Sean May looks like he has improved his outside shooting. If Felton, Emekafor, and Wallace raise their games another level, the Bobcats should be a tough defensive and offensive team.

Yeah man yge bobcats are gonna be nice. They have yge starters that were mentioned buy they still have a awesome bench. Their bench were the guys that kept them in every game they played. Bobcats hands down has been one of the most hard working teams since they started.

How do are knicks stack up against teams like Atlanta and the bobcats? I think isiah has been trying to become young and athletic while trying to win now. The knicks definately have the athletic part down. If the knicks retain woods then they really will be right with the best young up and coming teams.

Craw, Frye, lee, Nate, curry, balkman, Collins, woods hopefully.....

Marbs, and Francis are still young too. Q-rich is young too, but has to prove he can be healthy.

Anyone I haven't mentioned is either coming off e books this year or the next. Jj is a lost cause, lol.

Knicks have the same mix of youth and vets as Atlanta and the bobcats.

Toronto, the bucks, Atlanta, the bobcats? The knicks? Its fair to say these teams are on the come up.

I am thinking Chicago- they were basically a play off team and they went and added both a top lotto talent (thanks Isiah) and then they added Ben Wallace.

They've dumped Chandler so they have some cap flexibility which I guess they will use on some of their rookies.

And they are extra dangerous because they can finish with the best record and swap their pick with ours- and realistically, ours will be either a lotto pick or just after the lottery.

I really like Chicago and Charlotte. Both teams just seem to have a nice bunch of tough nosed players who are good on both ends of the floor. They have Very good PG's and the rest of the team is stocked with good team players. Chi has Tyrus and Char has G. Wallace as really athletic guys who can defend, block shots and make things tough for opposing teams.

Our Pick this year won't be that great for Chicago cuz I think we'll be right in the thick of things in the East this year. We have something that the other teams don't and that's a big who can bring it in the paint. A healthy, in shape and mentally focused Curry is their worst nightmare. He's too big and agile for most teams. And with the style of offense we'll be running, teams just won't be able to key on his like they did in the past, cuz if they do, ZIP there goes a slasher right by them, or a Guard or a back cutter. The constant motion we'll have is going to really boost our offensive effectiveness all the way around. PLUS playing our more talented young players major minutes this year will make us much more efficient and better on the boards. We have Lee, Francis, Nate, QRich and Balkman as small guys who can start a break after getting a rebound. So I think we'll be a dangerous team as well, tho not the most dangerous.

Definitely Chicago. If Ben Wallace fits into the chemistry right, they could go all the way. They can be just like Detriot was a couple of years ago. All tough guys who play excellent team ball, excellent defense. We might be looking at a lousy pick next year after that swap.

i don't think they're the most dangerous, but the hornets will be good. they almost made the playoffs last year, now picture an improved chris paul, peja, tsyon chandler, david west getting better, and bjax to back it up.

Despite Isiah taking off the shackles off our talent and creating space, I fear the improvement of many teams might make the task difficult. We could be better, but hoping for .500 is leaving me less than excited.

Its a start, and it could be fun.
