how do you sell that to ticketholders?

the big moves of the year will be +Blakman and Collins-Jackie Butler and Q Woods? Actually if you look at it reasonably, JB and Woods are WAY better than Balkman and Collins[who will see garbage minutes only until they realize its all over]


isiah is going to come in and win with these guys now jerome james jalen rose Curry Marbury are going to be a fined tuned machine?


if you are paying 1,200$ per game--does this offseason sound attractive?


let me beat islesfan to the punch we'll be 32-50 and chicago will get the 8th pick in the draft

If you are judging last years win total by talent, then maybe they don't wint more than 23 games. But I think you know last years problem came in the form of a grouchy, controlling and unhappy old man, not talent. New coach, new system and that other thing that is important... ummm HAPPINESS. It does wonders for wins... but we will see.

IMO even with the ever changing lineups of Larry Brown, the Knicks would have won 30 games if Stephon Marbury had not gotten hurt. I think winning 40+ games is very doable given the quality of our players and the type of offense Isiah intends to run. Sometimes changing players is not the issue. We need consistent rotations and defined roles for our players, with an offensive and defensive system geared toward maximizing their strengths while hiding their weaknesses. I think Isiah realizes all of this and will get the team to play much better next year.

one big difference this year - the best players will play. Larry Brown tanked games and gave away games and alienated players. Anyone still denying this needs help.

I know this is all a matter of us guessing whether Larry or the roster was the primary problem last year. Fortunately, we'll have an answer very quickly next season. I firmly believe that LB's coaching was one of the worst I've seen in pro sports last year. I think we win 40 games. I think we'll have an offensive system that makes sense. Matter of fact, it looked like it may end up being something pretty innovative. On defense & in general, I think we'll have effort, something we obviously lacked last year. I think they "screw you Larry Brown" theme will be the battle cry & rallying point. Should that be necessary? No, obviously not. But I think Isiah will sell them on an US AGAINST THE WORLD mentality. And I think it will work.

I dont know if I beleive that larry "purposely" lost games, but either way he did a terrible job, but even having said that, even if Isiah is able to get the most out of these plaeys, Im not convinced it will result in anymore than 38 or so wins, which isnt really something to go crazy about. but the offseason isn't over yet, it depends on what moves Isiah makes between now and next season.

We win 40 this year......

We are coming in with an uptempo offense and Curry is in shape, Lee is much better, Frye has a better frame, and Marbury and Francis will play much better under Isiah.......and Q can't possibly shoot the way he did last season

MS, I agree with a lot of what you said and even have faith that Curry will come in better shape. I just don't think, however, that Francis and Marbury can play that well together. Their skills just don't compliment eachother in anyway. It's a very goodway to have a starting lineup.

Our focus as fans should get away from this isle of mediocrity hoping for 40 wins and thinking that's success. We should be thinking about whether we are building a team and developing players with the mental fortitude and talent to eventually win a title. Fourty wins just means we need to make more changes in order to reach our ultimate goal.

Stop settling.

we've been saying pretty much the same things for the longest... how much longer do we have to wait til we see an actual longrange plan for success begin to be implemented here? i wonder if i'll ever see the Knicks win a title before I turn 50.
