Shaq Vs. Nate Robinson

I had an argument with my buddy: Who would win in a fight today, Shaq or Nate Robinson? My friend thinks Shaq will do the "Hulk Smash!" bit on NR and end the fight early, but my view is that NR could dart in on Shaq, hitting him with smaller blows while tiring him out, and maybe even take out his legs. Since NR is pretty damn strong, I think he will win in the end. I haven't decided whether this fight takes place in the street or in a ring. *** You know it is the offseason now! oohah

Winning a fight is mainly about 2 things - 1) training and 2) past experience. If both were trained, I'd be inclined to go with Nate because I see more potential there. If both were untrained, I'd vote Shaq because size wins when all else is equal - in other words, when punches are thrown and a grapple ensues on the ground. From a spectator's perspective, Shaq's performance in the Barkley/Brad Miller fiascos was dissappointing.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

Really? I think with training Shaq would in because he would be able to use his reach to fend off NR, keeping him at bay and his tremendous power would be devastating when he connects.

I think NR might have more experience with actual fighting right now because Shaq probably has had very few people pick a fight with him in his life (Scott Skiles reportedly challenged him once, and I heard that Shaq has slapped Kobe as well as Ostertag), but NR, hanging around football players and other large athletes, has probably been challenged much more frequently.

But why did NR attack Malik Rose in the shower? That is disconcerting.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Even if Nate had a weapon shaq would destroy him.

I still voted for Nate cuz that guy is tough so I suppose he can take a few hard shots and still have his trademark energy.

OMG! Once Shaq gets a hold of the little dart, that would be it for little Nate. I"d throw him way up in the air, repeatidly, hitting the floor over and over again, until all of his bones were broken. I like the part about taking Shaqs legs out from under him! He'd probably fall right on top of little Nate and break his back. Funny stuff man!!!
I'll never trust this' team again.

Nate wouldn't have a chance. Shaq would destroy him, with or without training. Nate should stick to fighting Jerome James.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

This is a joke right?
NY KNICKS 4 EVER! Will we ever find players like Anthony Mason, Xavier McDaniels, Patrick Ewing again? I hope so.

You see small animals kill much larger ones on nonfiction science shows often. The smaller ones use their speed and strength more efficiently. The bigger ones aren't able to get one hit on or bite into the quick little ones. I'm not sure who would win but it's an interesting summer topic.

Keep in mind, I'm talking about "real" training, not a couple of visits to the gym. I'm talking about training to the extent where one uppercut can literally take someone's head off, many many feet in the air. At that point, awareness and speed of execution are far more important than bulk and size, which actually stand to be quite a disadvantage. Reach is less important unless you're enforcing boxing rules. So, Nate actually has a better shot in that scenario unless Shaq's got some other-worldly tricks. Which, of course, he may have - I've never sparred with Shaq.

In an untrained fight, Nate would lose quickly barring a silly gamble by Shaq - like the blown puch against Brad. Fun thread Oohah.

Your thought process is interesting. Why you think they would bite each other?

Do you think one is more "yummy" than the other?

Shaq vs. Nate sounds kind of like me vs. a pez dispenser.

Can we get a JVG vs. Mourning undercard? In the old days I'd say Zo could take JVG with one hand tied behind his back and one kidney tied behind his ego, but now that he lost the other one, I'm not so sure.

In real life, MOST small animals who go after larger prey hunt in packs or pods or prides or schools, like lions, wolves, hyeneas and killer whales (Which to me, are the greatest predators on the planet.) Very few times will a single small animal go after a large on though unless it's totally cripled.

Nate could have his way, but like 4949 said, once Shaq finally grabs hold of him, it's the beginning of the end for Nate.

Not that I wouldn't root like hell for the little bastard though.

Shaq vs. Nate, Boykins, Spud, and Mugsy. Now that's entertainment.

Give it a year or two.

Anyone ever watch the movie My Giant? There's a scene in there where Ghoerge Muresan wrestles a bunch of midgets. Fun stuff.

Yeah, I remember when the Rock got his arse beat by that little Native Latino guy in the Rundown. Pretty dumb movie, but it was funny at the same time.

You'd be surprised how many adults have walked into an emergency room choking on pez and pez accessories.

One thing's for sure - the battle would be intense. Kind of like Jerome James versus a ham sandwich.

After punching him in the 'nads, Nate sprints thorugh Shaqs legs, jumps on Shaqs back and beats him around the head with a hammer lock.
