i always liked reezy and i still think his game's gonna develop and he's gonna bust out as a player. he's a guy who's gonna take a few years to put it all together. i'm gonna be watching for him and nelson this year. i got a feeling they're gonna develop a lot of chemisty.
i like what i see from balkman so far but it's impossible to extrapolate from these summer games to real games. in recent years sweetney and skita looked like sure all-stars from these games while bosh looked like a bust.
I loved Ariza. how many times have I bemoaned Larry Brown forcing him out of here?
but Balkman is doing stuff that will translate in the league - rebounding and finishing in traffic, running the floor, running the break, making sharp smart cuts.
if Balkman's play means nothing against guys like Ron Artest, Jason Maxiell, Kevin Martin and other actual NBA players - what does Marcus Williams playing against fringe NBDL guys mean? I think Balkman's performance means more given the level of competition in Vegas.
