Before I moved to Atlanta, I was an avid WFAN listener. About 70% of the callers were Met fans. But instead of dissecting an actual Mets game and arguing why they team wasn't any good, most of them resorted to bashing and insulting the Yankees. Their misguided anger (not all Met fans of course, but most of them) led me to believe that most Met fans recieved more joy watching the Yankees lose than watching there own team win.

That is a similar feeling I'm getting amongst a lot of the posters here. It seems as if alot of you will get more pleasure out of watching Isiah fall on his face than actually seeing this team (as is) turn it around and have a good season. (rightly or wrongly, this is how some of you sound)

Sifting through some of the threads, I have seen some you say things like, "Guess who will be laughing when we suck next year and brown signs with another team and has them competing for a title..." That is a direct quote. Why would any Knick fan laugh next year if we suck?

There have been many other quotes spread out in various threads where people are making similar comments to the one above. Basically waiting (hoping) that Isiah falls on his face so a there point can be proven.

Again, not saying this is fact, but this is how a lot of you guys sound.

Yeah, their hate of isiah supercedes thier love of the team.

I would have been fine with LB back next year and would have hoped that he helped us win, just as I did last year.
Even if we win with him [Isiah] they have built in excuses for why those wins don't mean anything. Its sad really.

They still Believe Brown can work magic. The idea that Brown will be going anywhere and leading anyone to a title is laughable, unless he ends up taking over an elite team.

Boy, for a minute there, it sounded like you were making a point to come together as a team of players and fans to stick up for Zeke, but then threw a big old curve ball and struck us all out! I'm not really sure what your point was, except to back up other peoples point?
I'll never trust this' team again.

I get the idea that some people want to see the Knicks lose next year so Isiah's fired.

I want Isiah gone for the same reason I wanted Spoon, Travis Knight and Howard Eisley gone. They all suck.

If people want this guy to fail as you suggest I would think its because they think him getting fired is the best thing for this organization.

I wonder if you will change your mind about Isiah if Curry starts avg 20 and 8 next year. Haha, its kind of funny but so many things are gonna be depended on Curry's play next year.

If Isiah wins this year, he must not suck that much. You should want you team to win. If they win, great. If they lose, well, you were right and you get your wish; Isiah sucked, gets fired, and we all could be glad he's gone.

People are spending their free time to post on this forum, just becuase we don't agree with how you feel about the team does not make us less of a fan then yourself. I think the Knicks should go a different route that will lead them to a title and I don't feel their current route will lead there. I will complain till hell freezes over and voice my opinion in hopes and efforts that one day it is heard and the organization changes direction.

Who specifically are you talking about? I want to know who these disloyal fans are.

I'll be quite saddened if he's talking about fans who have a different viewpoint. Fact is, we're all Knicks fans here, some of us have different ideas about which direction the team should go and thats the reason we're here, to argue and talk about the team...

Just because someone has a different opinon than myself doesn't mean they are less of a fan of the Knicks than I am. That wasn't the point I was making.

As I said earlier it was reading comments like , "Guess who will be laughing when we suck next year and brown signs with another team and has them competing for a title..." and other comments similar to that that made me wonder what would make some of the knick fans happier, Isiah falling on his face or this team winning? That comment makes me feel like some would be more happier with the former..

Who said this? I'd really like to know. The only person I can think of who might say something like this is islefan. Otherwise, you're painting with a very broad brush.

I think thats it in the whole big scheme of things Beast. I personally think the Knicks would be much better off with Isiah gone. Thats just my opinion, I'm gonna root my ass off for the Knicks with every game that they play but I can't say I'd be too bent up if Isiah was shown the door becuase of a poor season. I think thats what it's going to take to get this team back to where it should be. I'll take one more poor season for the ability to go out and get a new GM in here who can make the Knicks have a ton of good seasons.

Isiah has definitely been inconsistant as a Gm, but to be fair, he's basically putting on new hat in the organization. A hat that he has yearned to where since he left Indy (and has been telling anyone who would listen).

I think we should take a wait and see aproach to Coach Isiah. This is where his passion lies so lets see how it works out (may work out for the best) rather than rooting for him to fail so we can start over. The best case scenario might be for him to bring in a GM while he mans the sidelines. If you look around the league, the NBA coaching sidelines are filling up with one former player after the next. And how many of them have as much credibility with the players than Isiah?

Lets just see how it plays out.

I you talking about what is good for the Knicks BBal club or what is good for Knicks as a CableVision money grabbing service? Isaih is the worst for the first and best for the second. So far... And as Mr Dolan sad he will be fired if the second will not work out this season... regardless of basketball results..
