There are a bunch but here are the top choices.... My personal pick was the suspensions of 97... i remember being so absolutely FURIOUS about that because if elt like we were CHEATED out of our chance to have ewing face jordan with a real supporting cast, it was his best chance to beat him and we diddnt even get the chance to see it play out... my heart hates that moment forever... a close second was starks game 6 miss... i cried at that one ps if i get some of the spefics wrong in the poll my bad but us till know what moment im talking about
John Starks misses game winner Game 6 1994 NBA Finals
John Starks 2-18 Game 7 1994 Nba Finals
Reggie Miller 8 points in 18 seconds (back to back three's)
Ewing shatters his wrist vs Mil
Miami/NY Brawl in 1997 (suspensions)
Charles Smith game 5 layup blunders vs Chicago
The Patrick Ewing Trade
The Larry Brown Season 2005-2006

I was only in 5th grade during the Knicks finals run in '94, but I'm sure I was mad. Regardless, I am gonna have to put the '97 brawl. I really thought and still think the Knicks had a shot to win it all that year and had what it took to defeat Jordan. That debacle angers me to this day.

2 people voting for Larry Brown. Dang, some of you guys need a hug or something. We weren't even supposed to make the playoffs last season!

Even though I wasn't a bball fan during this era, you can make a case for Bernard King missing a lot of time b/c of injury. Him and Ewing would have been sick.

None of the above. The Ewing finger roll vs Indy in 95. Even today when I see replays I think it is going to go down.

John Starks 2-18 Game 7 1994 Nba Finals

I was kneeling in front of my tv set, at around 4am to see the game (i was in france then), hoping for each freaking shot to go in and see them endlessly bouncing out.

seeing john's face was tough.

I saw some reg season games a few weeks ago, against chicago... we really had a monstruous unit that year.
I was really confident we could beat the bulls in conf finals. the heat really had no chance at all, and it showed.

Tie between Starks 2-18 game and the brawl. If Starks shoots better we probably win the championship in 1994. If there were not any suspensions, we probably win the championship in 1997. We had great teams through the 90s, but bad luck and Michael Jordan kept us from any championships.

it broke my 13 year-old heart when bill bradley missed a corner j at the buzzer to send the bullets to the finals in 1971. I loved those guys

plus it was already gonna have an asterisk. you kow like we could only win when michael took some down time. okay so be it. so we werent' gonna beat the bulls but at least we could take one when he stepped down.

but no. not even that. 2 chances to win 1. couldn't do either.

ouch.

now i'm getting worked up all over again about it.

I have a write-in vote. The missed Ewing layup against the Pacers in 1995.

I could not make up my mind. So I didn't vote. I would have to vote all of them, and like many said throw in the Iceman fingerroll by Ewing. Please add the Bob Hill years to your list as well.

You forgot to put 'acquiring Scott Layden'. John Starks was just painful all around, period!
I'll never trust this' team again.
