this is your stud player who did not get drafted--this is this years Marquis Daniels. I kind of thought he might be a prospect for us at 29since we did so well with david lee--he's very much like lee but can play NBA 3 with more size athletiscm + strength than Balkman. There is your NBA prospect who can make an imapct but he has no teams no contract. Which team will be smart enough to give him 385K? We still are in dire need for a SF---I wouldnt hand anything to any player that we have on this roster. If were looking for athletic workers who can do things, make a defensive impact, but can also play both ways, why dont we stand up and give him a rookie contract before someone else does? we won 23 games last year.

aren't we at the legal limit of players allowed under contract...can the NBDL work for us?

as much as wanting the better player is a great philosophy, another great philosophy is following through on your decisions.

I think it's time to concentrate on keeping balkman and looking to fulfill other needs and thin out log jams.

Weaknesses: Limited offensively, he has little range on his shot past 12 feet (although it has greatly improved in the past year) ... His ball handling skills are weak ... He gets most of his points in close to the basket with garbage (rebound and putback) buckets ... Lacks the strength to play power forward and is not highly skilled on the perimeter, however his foot speed makes him solid defensively ... Poor free throw shooter, but has showed some improvement ... Lacks great vision and passing ability ...

Do you even think he's going to play much? I wouldn't be surprised to see Crawford getting some minutes at 3, and us going heavily with a three guard rotation. We have a ton of guards, my guess is Balkman gets minimal minutes, barring injuries.

this kid is a good basketball player. I had him on my mock @ 29 for a few days going to the Knicks. He's a better offensive player than Balkman, in fact, like I said, from what I have seen, Admunson is better than Balkman across the board. Better athlete bigger stronger faster, highly intelligent every category that means something--he trumps Balkman.

better jumper
stronger
long arms

hes got REAL 3 size balkman is 6-6 206 this kid is 6-8 223 on top of it he was flat out a better player in college.

Yeah... Amundson would fit nicely. He's David Lee at the three.. not quite as athletic but not bad. He played on an abysmal team at UNLV. He had a comparable camp to Balkman. I don't remember anyone pumping this guy .. but me.. oh well, the more the merrier.. lets hope Isiah reads this.

Im not against Balkman in anyway, I just dont think he wa worth pick 20--i think we couldve had a better scrap player who is more athletcic in Admunson and a top flight PG prospcet in Williams. Thats my opinion. Lets see how fast our draft picks fall. Ariza is gone who is next in line?

Ariza is in the middle of a bidding war for his services at the moment. Magic are having trouble keeping him.

Nah man, MWill is the surefire hit. Havent you seen any Hollywood lately? The short slow fat guy with no shot always comes good in the end.
