We need to get some roster spots.

If Isiah is serious about not trading Rose and Taylor for longer contracts, he should just buy them out so we get 2 roster spots.

Don't think it matters really....Look at what we got:Lee, Frye, Curry, Adeleke, Butler, Malik, JJ, Killingsworth invited to S/L-all big guys Zeke brought in....other than Malik and JJ all guys that are going to NEED time to develop. Unless Malik is gone(say goodbye to the only veteran leader we have in this case) and JJ are gone, there are 4 guys here too many-and this is not even counting Taylor. Frye and Curry are givens to stay so, IMO, you got 6 guys fighting for Maybe 3 spots(backup C, backup PF, end of the bench 6 fouls PF/C tweener).

He is a solid pick up... I used to see him at Hofstra University... He is a lil undersized but can get alotta hustle points off boards. His O-game is still developing, doesn't have a go to post move yet.. but he can put the ball in the basket nonetheless. Don't see him being a standout defensive presence in the pros.. but he is willing to give the much needed effort on that end.

Money talks.. Butler will be gone if we don't give a high enough offer for him. Especially since LB is represented by Glass. The father of Jackie's agent. They might set the asking price for resigning way way high. If that's the case.. Butler may end up going elsewhere!; because he's not the type of player to enter a bidding war for.. IMO.

Biggest Surprises:
1. Kenny Adeleke: The 6-9 burly senior from Hartford in the America East is proving himself as possibly the top overall player at the pre-draft camp so far. He's been productive for every minute out on the floor, rebounding with purpose, scoring with his back to the basket, being active defensively and showing a great attitude throughout.

Once Adeleke gets the ball in the mid-low post, he's been nearly impossible to stop. He has a wide variety of moves he can go to, including a sweet jump-hook shot with either hand and a beautiful touch off the glass. He uses his wide body and huge chest extremely well to establish position and punish his defenders, showing great smarts and terrific skills getting his shot off effectively. Adeleke has also been a terror on the glass, bouncing up and around the paint for offensive rebounds and getting his hands on almost every ball that is even remotely in his area. He's helped himself tremendously so far and has likely established himself as a solid 2^nd round pick, with a chance to move up further with a good showing in his last game.

I'm suprised these two guys didn't get drafted.

Adeleke? Killingsworth? Its a shame they didn't get drafted in the second round.

We'll see. Summer league should be interesting. If anything isiah might actually be using the nbadl for the first time to stash players.

I was told on this board that the 2 NBDL players are still counted toward the 15 man roster. No benefit then, unless you want to get them better minutes against weaker competition.

You know I gonna spin wit it

interesting. I like this pickup. maybe this leads to buyouts for guys like Jerome James. I would guess that these guys will be in direct competition for Jackie Butler's roster spot.

that is a good way to put it. that's if Butler attends the summer league representing the Knicks. If he does than it probably will be another audition. maybe if he plays well Isiah will write him a check.
