says Collins was always a target as a big ball mover... he liked Collins better than Marcus because of size/athleticism...

still would take Curry at no.2 in this draft...

Isiah has to finish at least 37 games this year because if we suck again and Chicago gets another high lottery pick he'll never have an nba job again

Yeah, it was just audio for me too.

btw, Isiah knew that picking Williams would have bought him goodwill with the fans at a time when his popularity is low. He had a conviction, and stuck with it.

I hope people get to see the Balkman clips on MSG, he goes some very Rodmanesque things.

if he picked Marcus, he would have had a lot of moves to make to clear out the back court and we would have been dealing from a serious disadvantage there.

I'm not in love with the picks, but it seems like Balkman can be a JYD/Ruben Patterson type and Collins can be a McKie type. they should help our perimeter D, but they really don't seem like complete players and I really question whether either can be as good as Ariza. Would've been nice to not make the Francis trade, keep Ariza and draft Marcus.

They both look a lot better than Ariza on tape.

Mardy Collins is already a more complete player than Ariza. He's capable of running a team is totally unselfish and can pass the ball with low turnovers. Balkman helped his team to win 2 NIT titles and was the MVP of the last tournament and some say of the Orlando Camp this summer. He's basically the same kind of sleeper that David Lee was last year. He's HUNGRY and he went and laid it on the line. Thats the kind of player I want on my team.

i hope so. They both have NBA frames and size and length and motors. both seem limited on offense though, which could cause problems and allow a lot of teams to zone up on us and pack the paint. we'll have to see, I guess.

By contrast, judging by the way he looks, it seems that Marcus Williams is rarely hungry. Maybe he is eating too many laptops!

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

which will ultimately be our demise as we will continue to not have an identity. We're not a running team and its hard to be successful in the halfcourt when you don't have 1 guy who can shoot the ball

I hope you get to see the films, they'll back on MSG in about 30 minutes. Balkman will get a lot of putbacks if teams play zone.
