You can find them there in the late evenings at least once per week. A few depaul players were palying as well as 2 guys from Arizona...one as big as Curry. Curry is way overweight again and is just plain lazy...it is so easy to out hustle him for rebounds and deny him the ball as a help defender. and I'm merely 5'11 and 34 years old. So glad Curry is gone. Simmons on the other hand is tough and strong as hell.

LOL! Pretty funny stuff. 34, 5'11 and he out-hustles Curry? Tell me again wy should we believe this guy? (Not that it is totally unbelievable, but still.....)

Who knows if it is true or not, but as BasketballJones stated....its not totally unbelievable. Pretty much every year Curry showed up out of shape.

From another Insider article today by Broussard:

Now, on to Larry and the Knicks.

Larry's agent, Joe Glass, told me Larry will not coach next season. Of course, we've heard that before, but I actually believe Larry will begin the season on the sidelines. He may wind up coaching somewhere (Golden State perhaps) before the season ends, but I don't think he'll have a job in October.

As for the Knicks, while Isiah Thomas is nowhere near the coach Larry Brown is, he will be a better fit for this team, and I predict the Knicks will win close to 40 games and be in the hunt for the eighth and final playoff spot in the East.

Isiah will let Steve Francis and Stephon Marbury play together, and he envisions them working like he and Joe Dumars did in Detroit. He'll try to use Jamal Crawford as his Vinnie "Microwave" Johnson off the bench.

The Knicks are also making a huge commitment to Eddy Curry this summer. Mark Aguirre is working with him, not only on his post moves, but on his mental approach to the game. If Curry gets it, look out. He could be a beast.

I think Isiah got a bad rap as a coach in Indiana. He wasn't Red Auerbach, but he wasn't nearly as bad as folks say he was.

That was a young Indiana team he took to three straight playoffs, and remember, it was under Isiah that Ron Artest and Jermaine O'Neal blossomed into stars.

Under Isiah, the volatile Pacers were also free of the drama that came after he left, so he seems to be able to manage the players' personalities fairly well.

The Knicks' players are overjoyed with the firing of Brown, so they'll be rejuvenated under Thomas.

Larry's had a few missteps recently -- the 2004 Olympics and the Knicks -- but this shouldn't taint his career too much.

guys, this just in - I was coaching in a pick up game at West 4th st against Larry Brown and his team was going okay until he started making random substitutions and belittling his players and trying to arrange trades behind his GMs back and my team made an improbable come back. honest to gawd!

Most NBA centers can't stop Curry but a 5' 11'' 34 yr old guy who at best qualify only as a pick up player can....OK....Where is the line for the Kool Aid...

crzymdups...no one is saying that it is highly credible....most are saying it wouldn't be surprising if it was true. See the difference?

Andrew don't tell me a 5 11 guy is out rebounding Curry and denying him anything on the court..Come on bro...Do you really believe that??...Are you so willing to believe anything...

Do you really want Curry putting out 100 percent in a summer pickup game in Chi town..I mean really..
