I am so happy the heat won, i love dwade and shaq, and i think that they are a real team. If it was the knicks on the stage you know there would be a cat fight for the mvp and the trophy. But Dwade and Shaq are truly one of the best guys in the NBA, you can just tell how they carry themselves and treat their team.

Congrats to the Heat on their first Championship

I don't care too much about the Heat one way or the other (except that I prefer Riles and Shaq over the representatives of Bush Country) but Wade is an amazing player. It's fun to witness his emergence.

I want Kobe vs. Wade in the finals next year. Barring a miracle by the Knicks of course.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

No Way DJ. The Heat can easily get better. Shaq wants 5-6 rings or until his body runs out whatever comes first. He also wants to show Kobe again...and again.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Disgusting. Pat Riley is a great coach and coached a deep squad. Props to the Heat. Disgusting that Payton got a ring. Game 5 was the turning point and all the momentum swung their way from that bull**** "timeout" call, or whatever happened. The Mavs got ass-****ed.

Yes it is disgusting that Payton got a ring. He should feel like a cheat. He didn't really earn it. It's not like he earned it at the prime of his career. He could not have - MJ was playing then. I can't stand AWalker, Payton and I don't really like Zo. I'm not happy about the fact that they got rings. Wade is awesome no doubt about it. And for some reason, I don't like Shaq. Never have. I always want whatever team he's playing against to when. He just irks me. So all in all, I'm not really thrilled that the Heat won. The best thing about is that the power is officially back in the EasT
NY KNICKS 4 EVER! Will we ever find players like Anthony Mason, Xavier McDaniels, Patrick Ewing again? I hope so.

Why does it matter when a player earns a championship in his career?? So Zo, Payton and Walker aren't the stars of the Heat but without them Miami does not win the NBA title. Nothing should be taken away from their acheivements because it takes a TEAM to win games. Ask Kobe about that one...

I don't like the fact that Payton and Zo both refused to report to teams they were traded to in the past, but these guys have big egos and a sense of NBA Title entitlement for all of the work they have put in through the years trying to win.

I'd much rather see guys like Zo and GP win because they actually seem to really want to win than some of the NBA players (like some on our team) who appear to care more about being the star or not at all.

That's what makes Miami an interesting team to win. They combined a rising star in Wade with the former most domininant player in the league for a decade near his last best days, with 3 former stars, 2 way past their prime, and other key role players, some of which have been cast offs.

I'm not a Miami fan, but this anti-Zo/Payton/Walker stuff just doesn't work for me. Plenty of other players have tried to do the same thing those three have done. Also notice that the Heat for all of their supposedly boated egos seem to get along really well.

if you think about it - riley has really proven to be a better coach than phil b/c phil was unable to get shaq, kobe, payton, and malone on the same page long enough to win it all.

Well, Zo, Payton, and Walker may have got rings, but it was an asterisk series. Miami only won because the Mavericks were not as good a team as Heat, so they should not get full credit for the series.

happy that our old time rival the Heat, w/Shaq, Riley & Zo won a championship? not me... personally i could have cared less about this year's Finals, but i would've preferred the Mavs to win... if i have to hear another 1 of Shaq's annoying ass "CAN YOOOUUU DIG IT?!" rally speeches, i'll stab myself with a rusty knife.

Did you just say that when teams win a playoff series because they are better than another team they shouldn't get credit for it and that an asterix should be placed next to any series of the kind??

Color me confused, bro, because I could have sworn that often the reason one team beats another, especially in long playoff matchups (i.e. 7 game series') is exactly why the better team often wins.
