he just can't follow orders...

http://www.nypost.com/sports/knicks/brown_has_no_say_for_knick_draft_knicks_marc_berman.htm

Last summer, Thomas compared Brown to Einstein. But now Thomas treats the mad basketball genius like a pariah. In defiance of the Knicks' gag order, Brown said from his gray Audi, "I'm having fun working the guys out. This is what I love to do. I'm sure when the draft comes I have a lot of knowledge about the guys we worked out. If they need me, I'll offer my assistance."

I'm sure you would have made a great Nazi.

It's a shame for Knicks fans that the only person in the organization who's had any success in their current job is the only one that doesn't have input.

It just kills him to be silent. I can't believe this guy ever really looked at this job as more than just a big payday. I don't think he ever really wanted to coach this team, cuz he knew it wasn't likely to be a title contender inside of 2 years, which is about all we could expect him to last here. I thought that even if he didn't stay long that he'd have a positive impact on our young players and help get us headed in the right direction, but I had no idea he would be so crazy and downright defiant of his employer. Would it have killed him to lay low this year and just coach the team he had and wait for the inevitable trades to happen. He KILLED our chances of moving the very players he hates and you have to ask WHY did he do that?

I have no sympathy for him and if he doesn't want to shape up and do what he's told, then good riddance. If he wants to TRULY coach the team and help us improve then fine, just shut up about it.

wow, he deserves to be hung from the nearest tree for such inflammatory comments! how dare he offer his assistance to the team that's paying his salary if they need it? this guy has some nerve.

I dont mind Larry Brown talking. He's the only person with credibility in this franchise and should he should say whatever he wants. Dolan and Isiah Thomas can't touch Larry Brown when it comes to knowledge of basketball and if Larry Brown isn't going to get what he was promised before the season then he has every right to defy a owner who is absolutely clueless when it comes to basketball issues.

I don't think a guy who loses on purpose has any credibility. He tried to pull a power play by being the anti-coach (in an effort to either/ both get IT fired, get the roster turned over) & its will bite him in the rump. Good riddance. I'm not saying we'll then be in great shape but at least effort will be there.

Wow, he made the Hall of Fame with just 23 wins??? Go check what else he's done during his coaching career and get back to us.

pretty consistant with how the Knick org. uses their resources.
I'm sure Isiah is scouting hard for some shoot first guards and maybe another power forward to compliment Jerome James.
Regardless of what Brown "deserves" its sad that people on this site think dumping him is the best thing for this organization. The only thing thats turning this ship around is for Isiah to quit making stupid moves for me-first players, and for Brown to given free reign to coach how he wants to. Free reign to COACH. Not to be confused with making roster moves, as some have implied he has.

The 987 victories elsewhere means nothing to me because I am a Knick fan...All I care about is what happens here...It's like the Yankees paying Randy Johnson boatloads for what he has accomplished in his career and now he stinks in the uniform...He might have been a great coach before he got here but now he simply stinks...If he doesn't stink and he was tanking the season for his own personal reasons, then thats even worse, In my book thats treason....The idea that this guy can only coach a certain type of player is just beyond comprehension....I just can't wait for the curtain for fall on this drama!

Wheres Isiah? He is better at following orders?

Thats what you want, good "yes" men?

Isiah is by the short hairs with Anuchagate.

Marbury is pleading to be killed so he can die a knick.

and Larry is being humiliated to preserve 40 million dollars! 40 million is a lot of money to eat a few weeks of Dolans petty crap!

Whats Isiah eating? He is not exactly talking either.

Larry has a real olympic gold metal.
Larry has an NCAA championship.
Larry Has an NBA championship ring.

Isiah knows about winning, he just can't coach it, or administrate it.

Dolan is a card carrying member of the lucky sperm club.

Isiah is dolans bitch and larry got some leverage. He might lose, but he gets paid big. Isiah gotta hang with the tossed salad man until his lawsuit is done. Or his contract is extended. Or he coaches the team deep deep in the playoffs.
