i've said before, and I believe this may be what's going on: isiah might be trying to calm Dolan down and convince him to work with Larry. partly to save Isiah's own hide and partly because Isiah didn't start this thing, this was dolan's anger. that might explain marbury's "I love larry" speech at coney island.

really, if Isiah goes out and acquires Kmart, ditches Francis or Marbury and drafts Lowry, this becomes a pretty Larry Brown friendly team.

(not that I like Larry Brown, but I think that's what might be happening...)

its quiet because LB isn't holding road side interviews and IT isn't leaking stuff to the press.

I believe that's all she wrote. Nothing more to it.

Well...Steph did say he loved Larry......seriously I think Zeke knew Dolan was mad and told him to count to 10 before he made a decision on LB...What Zeke didn't know is it will take Dolan until August to do that.

I've been saying this for awhile now. I think LB stays. I just want to see how this draft goes. It almost seems definite there will be a trade.

If LB is going anywhere it has to happen soon cuz I just don't see them having him here during the draft under the same circumstances unless they intend to either state he's staying or let him go. It would be too weird having him still here under uncertain status and we're making draft picks and possible trades without his input.

Buyout talks will begin in 2 weeks as a favor to commish. Just a rumor I heard. I trust the source and it seems to be backed by the media who are now convince that Brown and Dolan will sit down after the draft to talk buyout.

I sincerely hope not. This organization has made a ton of mistakes the past 7+ years but this would top the list of debacles that have occurred under James Dolan and will lead to even more mediocrity. Larry Brown was the last chance this organization had. I can already see all the Isiah-ites next year when this team wins around 37-40 games and gunning for the 8th seed on how much of a good job Isiah has done, but it will be a smokescreen becuase this team will never get anywhere in the playoffs with the way its madeup and the style that Isiah would implament.

Make no mistake about it, I'll be rooting hard for my Knicks to play defense but it won't happen with these players and this philosophy.

yeah but if that happens, couldnt we then trade some of our offensive players for defensive ones, like phoenix did last offseason, becuaser their value would be high?

The biggest mistake of the past 7 years was hiring Larry.

LB was never a good fit- not with how bad we were and how young and how much growing needed to be done.

Any other first year coach that led this team to the record LB did, and employed the questionable tactics LB did in starting a million different line ups and calling out players in the press, would have been out of here.

I doubt they make it to the end of the season.

Yes- isiah has brought in questionable players- but the intent and, I think result, has been to upgrade talent.

Yes, chemistry and motivation has been an issue- but I believe part of that falls to the coach.

If we had had a coach like Hubie Brown this past season, I think things would have been different.

I think LB views himself as being above having to get his hands dirty and coach effort.

I can't blame him, but if that is the case, he needs to take a hard look in the mirror when it comes time to a buy out

If they fire LB and keep Blubbury then the inmates are indeed running the asylum. With the popcorn king outside planting seeds (dissention) and a clueless owner making sour music.

Every coach needs at least 2-3 years before you fire them. Giving Larry one year is absolutely stupid. Let him play out this year. If he fails again then we cut ties. It's not like we are going anywhere with a new coach. Statbury will just eat the new coach alive.
