the league is evolving and the center position is for guys that play defense, react quickly, and block shots. three things foreign to eddy. we may be better off trying to make frye our center instead and moving eddy for a power forward.

A definate idea. Problem is that Eddy is such a bad defender and while the center position is evolving, so is the PF position.....from guys like Oak and Malone to guys like a Marion, Garnett, Frye, Bosh...there is no way Curry can matchup with these guys on the perimeter. and if you switch on defense it negates all the positives of switching them in the first place, IMO.

no, trade eddy FOR a pf, not make him the PF.

oops...my bad...reading comprehension sucks......I think we can draft a comparable PF than what Eddy may get us...I think I would rather draft a PF and trade Eddy in a package for a stud, young SF, SG, or PG...

The Suns played the entire playoffs starting Nash and Bell in the backcourt, and Marion, Thomas, and Diaw in the front court.

Not a true center among the 3.

The Knicks could easily imitate that with Marbury and Francis (since all I keep reading is Isiah wants to play these two in the backcourt at the same time, and since he'll be coaching, you might as well plan on it) in the backcourt, David Lee as a roving forward like Shawn Marion, who does everything, Frye filling in the Boris Diaw role (with less passing), hitting his open Js, setting high screens, rebounding, etc., and since no other Knicks really fit in, just mix and match with that 5th guy.

where does that leave the franchise player in eddy curry?

"the knicks could easily imitate that..." - that's a VERY BOLD statement.

Haha, by imitate I mean they could attempt to play a similar style and at least score a lot of points. I mean the Suns don't play defense and the Knicks certainly don't. Now would the Knicks have the same amount of success the Suns had, thats a different story.......

That leaves franchise player Ed Curry on the bench, where he should be.

I support this idea. Move Frye to center and let Eddy come of the bench and feast on the 2nd stringers.

C-Frye
PF-Lee
SF-Q2
SG-Q1
PG-Francis

Move Blubbury at all cost.

and look where it got them. whereas, the Heat and Shaq are in the Finals.

It's a good idea tho...I wouldn't mind seeing Frye man the middle a few times.

funny, it's the reaction I have every time someone mentions what a great coach Next Town Brown is...

or how everyone here was repeating the Brown mantra that we need a PG and now that Dallas is going to win it all is saying that the NBA has changed and you don't need a PG anymore...or a center, apparently...

it's funny, people used to roll their eyes when people mentioned Dirk and defense in the same sentence. now he's pretty good at it. weird how players improve over time, isn't it?

we have two extremely talented young bigs who both have a lot to learn (hey, last year people were rolling their eyes when I dared suggest drafting Frye was a good idea), but they both CAN learn. for all the negative terms thrown at Eddy, he is willing to be coached. trading either one after Next Town lowered their value is stupid.

anecdotal no?

the same moves he was getting whistled for in game 1 he was doing and getting whistled for through April.

Skiles was asked a couple years ago what Eddy could do to improve his rebounding? Skiles responded "jump." Knick fans this year screaming at the tube or down to the court: JUMP!!!!

dirk is helped by dampier and diop. is frye helped by curry or vice versa?
