In the post Ewing era for one reason or another people posted thread after thread about Houston. How he was killing the cap with his max contract. How he didnt rebound more. How he was soft of defense. How the team would never be good until he was gone. How he talked about himself as a great 2 guard but had nothing on TMac or Kobe. How he wasnt elevating the Knicks or making guys around him better. How he was paid like a star but was just a 2nd piece next to Ewing.

Why do I get the sense that most of the people around here that said that stuff about Houston are the same that are protecting Marbury?.. (sorry, I meant to write Starbury). I mean isnt Steph our max player super star? Whats he done since being here aside from get embarrassed by Kidd for 4 games in his one playoff stint?

I dunno dude. Last I checked, Marbury gets lots of crap around here, too. Addition by subtraction, etc. etc.

well i know this, if quentin hit his jumpshots, then we would've won 47 games this year.

and 6 support him!

so far that's 3 maybe 4 that have posted on this thread. Blueseats for sure...i don't count islesfan because he hates Isiah.

Supporting a player isn't even the point, it's the constant bashing.

The title of this thread alone is an example of just nothing better to do, so let me start ANOTHER eff marbury thread.

Another one, and another one, and another one.

the 6 that support him are too exhausted to keep posting the same hting, but the 6 that bash and bash have all the energy in the world.

The rest of us are knick fans.

dude, i'm not a Marbury hater for no reason... this has been a result of 3 years of watching this guy on & off the court... why am i not free to bash this guy while the rest of you are free to bash on LB, or anyone else for that matter? believe me, i WANT to root for him, but he makes it impossible for me to do it... if he'd grow the F up for once & become the leader he's SUPPOSED to be, then i'd be right there in your corner praising the guy... but for every positive thing he does as a NY Knick, there's at least 20 more things that i can't stand about the guy... just telling it like it is.

Alan Houston was a classy guy, very nice( I met him and he was a very personable guy, was nice to my wife and son,) He played hard, hurt and carried the knicks for a while, alan was a true professional, never did anything to tarnish his name or the Knicks franchise. He represented the uniform well. Yet all people will remember about him is is Huge contract.... And some hated him for it.....

Marbury is the total opposite, yet people make excuses, it is the coaches fault, he had bad teamates, wrong talent around him, he is misunderstood, blah, blah blah....

I dont think Marbury fans were also Houston fans. Both of them sucked. One was a better player, the other was a better teammate. Neither of them belong in the same sentence as Ewing.

dont know about you, but I've only ever cared about one stat

maybe 60 I think if the team turns around (like that 5 game winning streak) it'll be back down to 6. We had a crappy year, what can you say, the crappy year get's pinned on the best player...facts are facts.
