I'm not asking for the best line-up ever. I'm asking for your all time favorite players. Could be anybody as long as you like them.

For me my backcourt would be sprewell and rod strickland. Spree was the best open court player I have seen next to drexler. In his prime before ny spree was unstoppable. Rod did what a point guard was supposed to do. Score when he had to and hey the ball to the right people. Rod was a blur on the fast break and always made the clean pass for the score. I also loved the way he could hang in the air in the lane and still take contact and either dish or make the and one. Spree and rod would have been nice together in their primes.

Small forward would be the real big game James worthy. He had a ton of moves and was just like a knife through butter the way he attacked the rim. He was money 15 feet in. Never wasted time dribbling. I would have said Bernard king but king wouldn't fit on this team, lol.

I want to say Charles oakley but I gotta say Duncan. He is just a clean basic player. He never over does anything and he can fall back into a role easy and take over whenthe time is right.

At center I would have big bad Moses Malone inside. I want to say Hakeem but Moses is the attitude I want on my squad. He was never a huge shot blocker but no one wanted to test him Down there anyway. Besides Moses don't need the ball at all.

So I got:
Duncan
James worthy
Moses Malone
Rod strickland
Sprewell

No true outside theat but no way can you hold this team on the break or on the blocks inside!

EnySpree, nice job.

But i'm gonna F with your team!

Deal with this:

backcourt of earl monroe and pete maravich. that's right. stop us. you can't do it. spree's gonna get get his head spun around by earl. and pistol is gonna waste, just waste, rod. go up, down and around him.

my forwards are gus Johnson and dr. j. the ABA dr. j. gus was a monster like you can't imagine. he would have some hellacious battles with the big fundamental. gus never quit, just kept coming and coming at you, was built like a pf but had ridiculous spring in his legs (pre-injury). the ABA dr. j was just the most incredible thing to have ever been seen on a bastketball court. big game james worthy is a great player but i don't think he's ready for the doctor in his prime.

my center? tough tough choice but i think i'm going with wes (figures i got 3 bullets from the 60's - they were one of the most entertaining units ever). he was as scary and fearless as moses. i want to see the 2 of them get medieval on each other.

that's my team. play ball!

earl monroe
pete maravich
gus johnson
julius erving
wes unseld

Nice team marv!

It would be a war! We gonna need one of those nascar pit crews to change the guys sneakers during time puts! They might have to switch courts at half time!

Joe!

That is a killer defensive team. Russell, Harper would kill artest if he acted up! But Allan houston? He is too ***** for my blood but again with Russell and ewing there to clean up I guess Houston would be alright, lol.

Sprewell
Wade

yeah, I'm boring, they're mostly Knicks...and I started watching basketball in '91.

Well who would make your favorite starting line-up?

My favorite players would be:

Ewing
Camby
Grant Hill
Allan Houston
Darryl Armstrong

I only started following the NBA in '93. Weird lineup, eh? Guarantee you that wins a championship.

Marv, you and I have similar background. Those Bullets with jack marin, Archie Clark, Wes, Riorden, etc etc. Epic battles!

ABA Nets are the most watched team I ever saw in person. I went to 20 games a season while the Doc was there! Pistel pete was amazing. If the 3 pointer was in college and the NBA he would have broke 100 and shattered all NCAA records in 3 years even more than he did. Tragic ending for him that he could never enjoy his success.

I can go with your team, but I will lay this on.....

Clyde
Pete
Elvin Hayes (think rockets!)
Bernard King
Alcinder (1970's Kareem!)

Bench:

Nate Archibald
Black Jesus
Dave Debussure
Dr. J
Wilt Chamberlin (dude was very cool!)

Bill Walton
World B. Free

No genuine Celtics! No larry bird, and no PHuching John Havlecek! Celtics bad!

It's in a cynical and scornful way... but I love that unit.

Some good line-ups.....

I still think my group would whoop all you guys!....I picked those guys cuz they all never waste moves. They just attack the defense....I just love players that make quick decisions.

C - Olajuwon (close call over Ewing, but that guy was just too nice)
PF - David Lee
SF - LJ
SG - Starks
PG - Ward

Not the best team talent-wise by a longshot, but there's not many teams you can put together that will play w/more heart.
