the point being that this is a DEEP draft.
if the top 10 in 2001's draft was an indication:
1 Wizards Kwame Brown
2 Clippers Tyson Chandler
3 Hawks Pau Gasol
4 Bulls Eddy Curry
5 Warriors Jason Richardson
6 Grizzlies Shane Battier
7 Nets Eddie Griffin
8 Cavaliers DeSagana Diop
9 Pistons Rodney White
10 Celtics Joe Johnson
then it can be argued going into it, it wasn't that good a draft. but since so many quality players were found throughout, it turned out to be a good one.
i feel this draft shapes up the same way...in fact, i think the top 10 will better this year and 2nd rounders will make teams.
nalod said in another thread that this draft doesn't have a franchise player to bank on. did the 2001 draft have one going into it? in fact, with the new age restrictions, there are more college players available, which means there are more experienced and coached players in the draft.
