suns made it 1 game further without amare. and kurt was out. but nash is a year older and we don't know how much he has left in the tank after playing 40 mins a night for 2 straight EXTENDED seasons. it stinks to see them eliminated but the better team won.

this is going to be an interesting finals. losing mbenga for 4 games of the finals hurts them a little bit b/c that's 6 fouls to throw at shaq.

we'll see if shaq can continue with this fountain of youth run he's on. i think he will b/c this is his last real shot at the title and he's going to make it count. miami HAS to split the first two games if they have a shot at taking it.

i have no clue who's going to win.

I like both teams, but I'm leaning towards the Heat. It's finally time for Shandon Anderson and Michael Doleac to get their rings.

screw dallas. i hate that f**king team. let cuban suit up and put his stupid mug into shaq's backside since he led his backup center into the stands.

heat in 6.

Never liked Dallas, I gotta go Heat.

So sad, the old rivalry feels so distant now, I can't even hate them anymore.

In fact, that they remind me of our Riley/Ewing years only serves to sentimentally attract me.

I'm rooting hard for Dallas. I've always liked Dirk and I'm just happy he's quieting his critics.

Also, I know Cuban gets alot crap from everyone but honestly, if your a fan you want that guy as your owner, he lives and dies with every game and does everything possible to keep his team competitive and in the elite.

Lots of talent in the Finals, definitely good for the NBA that its not another boring SA/DET finals where we're watching 82-80 ballgames with no stars.

Jason Terry and Devin Harris vs. GP and Jason Williams? I give the edge to Terry and Harris, by a little.

Josh Howard, Marquis Daniels, and Jerry Stackhouse vs. DWADE, James Posey, and Antoine? I like the Mavs depth, but Wade is defintely going to make plays in his (first) NBA finals appearance.

Who guards Dirk?

Who guards Shaq?

Riley vs. Avery.

Should be good stuff, here's to hoping it goes 7.

I love this game.

Down with the NY Knicks, why can't we get a promising team like the Mavs or Heat (or Suns for that matter).

Are you guys serious? Zo and Riley are on the heat. As much as I like Shaq and Wade, I don't ever want to see Zo or Riley happy. I hope they get embarrassed.

I am for Mav's in 7. I do not like Shaq or the Heat. He had his time. Now it's for other people to win it.

I'm with you, I don't care how many kidneys Zo does or doesn't have, he's still one of my most hated players....and I'll never forgive Riley either.

I just think when it comes down to it Dallas just doesn't have Shaq and D-Wade. Dallas never had to face two unguardable guys like this the whole playoffs. Shaq played out of his mind against Detroit and Wade destroyed Detroit. They were crying about the coach, lol.....

Dirk will get his though. It's just the rest of those guys. Damn its gonan be a good series.

Shaq is gonna get another ring, I hate it but what you gonna do?

What I will hate more than that is to see Gary Payton smiling and getting interviewed. I hate that guy. Zo too....that fag might cry....he is definately gonna pull the kidney card in his interview too.....like he's a poor unfortunate soul that got a miricle. I can't stand him. I wish Oakley was still playing!!!!

That is what I am saying Eny, Flip did not do a good job in the playoffs, but what it comes down to is they couldn't deal with 2 dominant players in Shaq and Wade. It is no accident that Shaq has been in 5 OF THE LAST 7 NBA FINALS!!!!

***

Last year's Heat came 1 minute away from beating the Pistons. This year's Heat is much better, Shaq is healthy, Wade is healthy and one year more mature, and Antoine Walker was a great addition, recognize everybody!

***

I am rooting for Dallas hardcore, I don't want Shaq or especially Riley to get another ring!

***

Prediction: An unceremoniously traded and/or much maligned former Knick will get a ring!

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I see Dallas in 6 or 7.

Dallas has Dirk.

Miami has Wade.

Shaq can be contained when you have have Dampier, Diop, and Van Horn (that's 18 fouls to spare).

But who guards Josh Howard if you're Miami?

I think if he plays well, Dallas wins every home game, and maybe even steals one in Miami...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

im going with miami in 6

shaq is still dominant

plus wade can take over any given times

miami will win if their seconday players produce on a consistent basis, haslem is a great defender, i can riley putting him on dirk with posey on howard and wade guarding terry

I think Miami will take this series. Yeah Dallas beat the Spurs, but if you take a look at that series you would see that the Spurs had at least two of those games almost won with leads in the final minute. Miami on the other hand, doesn't seem to need any breaks. They are on a roll and haven't needed a Game 7 yet period.

Shaq and Wade will be too much for the Mavs.

Miami is going to win. Wade is better than anyone else on the floor and Dallas is a bit soft. Shaq will dominate inside against Dampier and Diop and I think Avery will put Howard on Wade but that means Howard will be in foul trouble almost every game.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

I predict Dallas in 5/6 games.

Keys: Involve Shaq in pick and rolls with Damp/Terry or Diop/Harris, maintain a fast tempo, defend Wade primarily with Devin Harris and Marquis Daniels, keep Josh Howard on Antoine Walker and Dirk on Posey, double minimally on Shaq and in the event of a double-team - rotate to force Walker 3s, Mavs bench should outscore Miami's bench, Dirk has to destroy Antoine Walker offensively.

I assume Haslem won't start. And I prefer Harris starting over Daniels. Projected starting match-ups:

Shaq - Dampier
Walker - Nowitzki
Posey - Howard
Wade - Harris
Williams - Terry
