You see, at the end of the day, the leopard can never change his spots !!
If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it is a duck !!

My point is once again LB is still doing his dirt thru the MEDIA !!! The same way he did with Detroit, trying to garner sympathy with his " Poor LB routine, help me please, I don't know whats going on and i don't understand why they don't want me anymore ". CRAP !!! This guy is a MEDIA WHORE !!! He won a championship with Rick Carlise's team and everyone wants to give him the credit !! I can't believe someone would want this guy. This is exactly why i was against hiring him in the first place. Check out how he meets the media on an access road 2 days in a row. I believe he set up the interviews himself because the media was waiting for him, sounds like an appointment to me !!
Look at the article titles and tell me you don't see thru this chump !!

Reporters Flag Down Brown And Get A Roadside Interview

Here is a quote from the article:

On Tuesday, Brown did more than wave. He pulled over. The reporters had camped several blocks from the first traffic light Brown was likely to stop at. When he saw them, he steered his car onto an access road, parked and did something he could not stop himself from doing all season. He talked.

And for those who don't know what Chitter means, here ya go.

Who cares about LB. What is your organization going to do? When are they going to do the right thing? Fire the guy or support the guy so we can finally get to the job of rebuilding. When does that become important to fans? We are so infatuated with the whole LB situation and praying that "he gets his" that once again we are ignoring the fact that our management team are a bunch of clowns. Cut the cord and let's move on. Show the fans that you are serious about BUILDING A TEAM.

YOur buying it hook, line and sinker!

1. Can he coach
2. do we have a roster who can respond to any coach?
3. Look for the next trade or savior.

The knicks are equally at fault for not even addressing this thing with larry or issuing a statement.

I'm going to try to focus on the upcoming important events:

1) The draft
2) Summer leage
3) Trades
4) Preseason
5) Next season

I'm tired of all the other bull****.

It's a shame because that's what the focus should be on. I'm so sick of the soap opera. I want an actual organization that is focused on doing what's right. I can't even get excited about the draft or trades or FA. Nothing seems logical to me because we have no direction. Let's go Isiah, fire him, or keep him so we can focus on the draft!!!!]

As for the next savior. I'm going with Channing. Not because I think he is but because I have nothing better to do and he was the first person that came to mind.

Yeah, I wish the journalists would focus on the draft workouts as I'm much more interested in that than Larry Brown and Dolan. I really feel sorry for the potential draftees though, having to deal with this crap.

One of the articles about Brown though did mention at the end that the Knicks were particularly impressed with Tuesdays draft workouts (this comprised of Josh Boone, Cedric Simmons, Mardy Collins and Shannon Brown). Mardy Collins is interesting as it could be useful to have a tall PG to pair with an undersized SG (if we play Nate or Marbs their next year)

Do you think all this mess is affecting our workouts. Any chance players may "tank" a workout to stay out of this mess. Or is this not a problem? I'm not sure it would be wise to tank a workout but the possibility of it happening worries me. The sooner we end this soap opera the better.

ny media are doing their job. they are running with the hot story. it's too good a story to ignore. lb is continuing to feed them in the role of whining yenta. marbury continues to feed them as slingblade. and isiah and dolan's silence is deafening.

all of this could have been quelched 3 weeks ago. just issue a statement saying "lb is the coach. isiah is the gm." and leave it at that. even if the plan was to fire one or both within the next month or so, at the time a statement would have been issued, it would have been the truth.

but this is just stupid.

is there anybody out there that expects any decision this team makes to work out for the better?

I wondered whether players would be put off too, Bibbity10- if you look at what Josh Boone said after Tuesdays workout:

>>>>>Extremely surprisingly, however, the rest of his game did not catch up to his unquestioned abilities last season. “That’s true,” he agrees. “It was too up-and-down for me. We just had too many expectations, too many lineup changes, and too much stuff going on at UConn last season. And it affected me more than most. I guess maybe I’m too sensitive a person.”>>>>>>>

Was this his way of trying to put the Knicks off drafting him?- I find it hard to believe a player would say such a thing by accident.

I think it was just a dumb statement because everyone heard it, not just the Knicks. I'm not a huge Josh Boone fan. I watched him all year and I just don't view him as that competitive of a person. He needs a situation where he can be a role player with no pressure. Block shots and then go sit on the bench. But his statement was pretty silly.

Brown needs to stfu. I've left the Marbury bandwagon when he couldn't keep his mouth shut and focus on playing team basketball. I'm about to jump off the Brown bandwagon for the same reason. I don't care what's going on with Isiah, Mills, Dolan, Stern, or the second coming of Red Holzman. Brown's job is to coach, not to gleefully seek out reporters and make matters worse. He's got his money. If the execs are leaving him twisting in the wind he needs to just keep his mouth shut and not say a word to anyone until after he is fired. If he did that, then when he got cut loose he could make even more millions on a tell all book. But as it is now, no one is going to believe a word he has to say.

Your words mean something, and something like that makes you sound like a wimp. I read that a day or 2 ago. I was never particularly in love with the guy myself when I saw him play. He's quite talented, but doesn't have much of a mean streak, which is obviously needed for that "Defensive specialist" that Boone is known as.

it's obviously LB's way of responding to Dolan leaving him twisting in the wind & trying to get fired so he can collect on his full amount owed to him... Dolan is playing his games, LB's playing his... meanwhile Marbury's making his usual empty comments about wanting to Die a Knick to try & win over fans to his side... Isiah is curiously quiet... i guess he's got enough things to worry about w/the sexual harassment scandal... it's all a ridiculous farse! i'm so completely turned off by how the Knicks organization has allowed this all to fester & turn into the mockery that it is... this team deserves all the ridicule they get in the media.

I'm still at a loss for why so many want to jump on Steph so much. LB I can understand, cuz he came here and didn't even TRY to win games. Steph may not always know HOW, but he does try to win games. The only time I can remember him NOT trying was that Orlando game just before the win streak. I think that was just frustration over LB's crap. LB is the one who came out of camp without a set lineup or rotation. He knew we had a SUPER tough opening schedule and that the team needed as much stability as it could get in order to make it thru that tough stretch, but he did the complete opposite.

Its no mystery why he's being left to twist in the wind. He stuck it to the organization all year with his comments and how he coached the team as if he HATED it. That was a slap in the face to Isaiah and Dolan. Dolan asked him to stop chirping in the media all year and he just kept at it. As far as Steph is concerned he can help this team and if we add a PG that will make Steph even more useful, cuz then we can use him as an offensive weapon more often and without it disrupting the offense as much. I happen to think that should've been there for us all year if Jamal wasn't scared to play for most of the year. There's no reason why LB should've broken up Steph and Jamal. They were the only returning starters and should've been allowed to play so that the team had a chance to establish some chemistry sooner. Together they avg'd 40pts and 12asts. That was with a less talented team the year before. I think LB screwed us on purpose, so I say let him twist.

at the end of the day, lb, isiah, and steph have personality issues. none of them are really trustworthy nor are any of them pillars of integrity.

but at the end of the day, all that matters is wins/losses. and only one of those guys has a proven history of success. a LONG proven history of success.

I posted his reponse a couple of days ago after DJ posted the workout wrapup. To me it was Josh Boone letting this team no thanks. It was dumb because Bip is right there are other teams that might have been interested in him but that statement is a killer. It was the funniest statement I think I ever heard from a draftee. He pretty much said I can't play in the NBA. Who is representing these guys. Does Boone have a rep because if so then that person needs to be fired immediately.
