NY Daily News
"Team sources contend that Brown endorsed the trades for Jalen Rose and Steve Francis only to quickly sour on both high-priced players, which infuriated Dolan. The Knicks' thinking appears to be that since it's impossible to trade a majority of the players that Brown doesn't want, they will simply change the coach."

Even with this quote, I'm sure these Brown Supportors will still find a way to blame Isiah (and only Isiah) for those two transactions.

As a matter of fact, Even if I was able to produce the actual list of players Brown gave to Isiah, The pen he used to write the list (with finger prints) a video tape of him writting the list, A video cassett recording of him telling Isiah he wanted those players, A photo of him with list in hand, a Drawing, confirmation from his wife, a police statement, and two eye witnesses dressed as Nunn's......you guys still will aquit Brwon of all charges.......

Isiah made the trades. If Isiah didn't like them, he's a yes man. If he liked the trades, then he's an idiot. Either way, he's equally at fault, if not at more fault.

I don't understand. Where is the proof here? It says Knicks team sources contend that Brown endorsed them. If you think about it realistically for one minute why would Brown want either one of these guys, especially Francis. Both of these guys have been known problems and Larry even had problems with Rose years ago in Indy.

This doesn't surprise me if true--it's certainly consistent with quotes from Brown.

Who knows, but team sources could be Isiah himself trying to deflect blame and make the firing of LB look acceptable.

Brown Said During Francis' Press Conference That He Nagged Isiah To Get Francis Once He Saw He Was Available. I remember this vividly......

Very true. Lets not forget about the thread I posted about Isiah making up news to keep the fans pleased.

People say things all the time. Do you really think that Larry Brown is going to sit at the podium during a press conference to announce they just acquired a player and bash him?

Isiah has continously told us fans lies, yet you don't seem to hold him accountable for that.

Well, I hear people saying they think Zeke should get him his players, so I don't get it.

If he doesn't get him the players he wants he's inept. If he gets him the players he wants he's inept.
If he gets his own players, he's inept. I think I get it now.

Doesn't make sense, Brown himself said both public and private (his talks with Marbury "the juice card") that Isiah given him the final say on player acquistions. Isiah said that he will get the players that Brown wants. Brown has been as about public in the fact that he has that control. Brown even try to take it to another level when he requested that Thomas didn't do an exit interview with the players. Something unheard of. What people are now trying to blame Thomas for listening to Brown who btw, they want to run the team instead anyway. So everyone is a little goofy, Thomas, Brown and Knick fans. That's why the rumor around the league was that Brown was trying to sabatoge the Knicks to get Thomas fired.

As minister of propoganda nothing that is "leaked" by the office of Isiah has validity.

IN fact, its got salary cap extension with draft picks written all over it.

Did Larry endorse it, very well could be.

Coaches coach. Larry sucked at that, but roster construction is all Isiah.

I still don't think Brown wanted these guys. We all know for a fact that Isiah and Dolan love their superstar players which is something that Brown has worked without for his whole career. Why all the sudden does Brown now wanted Francis and Rose, two guys who do nothing that Brown wants on the basketball court?

Do you get that most of the players he wants, suck?

show me where a coach has ever said he didnt want a player a GM just traded for. They just dont say that. Lenny said he did NOT WANT Tim or Nazr because of how well he had Doleac/KVH playing and Isiah did it anyway.

Isiah: Hey Larry, I can get you Francis for nothing. Want to give him a shot?
Larry: Sure why not
Isiah to the press: This was a trade Larry approved and he expressed desire that I aquire Steve Francis.

And of course its so unbeliable that Isiah would trade for an overpaid scorer, unwanted by his current club, owed lots of money that doesnt play hard. No.. Isiah would NEVER trade for a guy like that.

We have one GM and one coach. If Isiah gave LB all this power or input is Isiah's fault. He's the boss, and his whole job is just damage control on top of more damage control.

Brown wanted guys like Ratliff, Patterson and Miles. Miles even told us there was deal on the table that fell thru at the 11th hour. In the wake of that isiah probably told brown "our deal fell thru, but we think if we can collect more assets, like rose's expiring contract, a draft pick and francis we'd be in good shape to score a KG or jermaine for next year. You willing to go that route?" to which brown said he was.

That's what endorsing a deal means. It means someone else presents it to you and you co-sign it.

There's huge differences between giving no comment or standard minimal public support (which coaches do all the time), publicly disagreeing with a trade (which you're right almost never happens), and profusely praising publicly a trade (which also doesn't happen too often but is what Brown went out of his way to do with Francis).

"He flexed a real hard juice card, I know that," Marbury said. "So he definitely made me aware of what he can do. But that doesn't scare me at all."

Marbury's salary would make him difficult to trade, anyway. Brown said he wants Marbury to return, "if he'll buy into what we're trying to do."

Nalod, man you are one stubborn dog. Despite everything Brown, Thomas and Marbury said you will give Brown the benefit of the doubt.
