Player after player, coach after coach, Gm after Gm When does this shhhh ever stop. Every single year for the last five years, there's been absolutey no stabilty with this franchise. The only thing they seem to do consistantly is FK up. What is like a 90 day trial base whith this franchise, every move they make clashes with the coach and his style. They change the coach for the players, then they change the players for the coach and around and around we go like a lost little franchise..

We hire Gms that continue to make the Cap into historic records. It's becoming like a fly by night job weather your a player or coach, a pit stop in ones career...This is becoming ridiculously embarrassing.

Anyone agree.

As long as I been able to comprehend the thought of being a Knick fan I have a horrible experience being a Knicks fan. Stems back to the mid to late 70s to current time. From 23 win seasons, overpaid players, HOF coaches who for whatever reason forget what made them HOF, GMs making a foolish move after the next. From Jew bashing, finger rolls attempts, Reggie Miller scoring 8 points in 11 secs, Ward tackling PJ Brown, Starks 2 for 18 in Game 7, Ewing's guarantee against the Bulls in 93, the Knicks 78 & 79 draft, Frederick Weis. So much more too little time. Let me say that this organization has long been sucker punching me in the gut year after year.

That's ENTIRELY how I feel too! Even the years that we now look back on so fondly in the 90s felt HORRIBLE at the time because the team never reached its goal and the players never got much respect. At the time, each year felt like failure.

Change your team then. Those teams made me proud.

I don't pick my teams based on whether they're winning. I pick them first, then support them and want them to win. (At this point, though, your advice might be good for *every* Knick fan just to preserve their sanity! )

I didn't become a Knick fan b/c they were good. I became a Knick fan b/c my dad turned me into one. You're telling THAT to the wrong guy.

All the team's problems are traceable to their inability to manage the cap.

I have been a knick fan for 35 years.

If they dump Larry it is the worst day for knick fans.

No, not for larry leaving, or marbury being victorious, its just that we are even more screwed up than one could have even imagined.

The dark side is truly upon us.

Larry was totally unprofessional this year and spit the bit early. Screw him and try to find a coach who likes coaching and a gm who aspires to cap control.

Unprofessional...the whole Franchise is unprofesssional, from Isiahs hire and fire's, to the players lack of respect for any coach, to dolans total lack of any common sense.

Guys, we can live with this. If we can handle George W. Bush as president, we can handle Isiah Thomas as coach of the Knicks. In the greater scheme of things it's just not that important. It's not the end of the world.

it's going to be an entertaining season to say the least... i can't wait to hear James Dolan raving about the "success" his team has achieved by finishing w/a sub .500 season & a 1st round exit in the playoffs under Isiah's coaching... afterall, it's an improvement over 23-59, right? maybe i should go root for the Clippers... they'll probably win a title before the Knicks will.

Isiah's got no more excuses now... i said it last year, if we weren't going to go w/an elite coach like LB or Riley, i wanted Isiah to take over... if for nothing else, to eliminate all other excuses for the mess he's made of this franchise... somewhere, Marbury's got a huge grin on his face... oh boy, can't wait to see what Isiah's got to say in his next press conference.

This could be bad/good for Thomas and also bad/good for Brown's legacy. If the Knicks finished similar under Thomas he is gone before the break, if by some shadow of grace that this team finishes significantly better under Thomas which is around 39 to 44 wins and make the playoffs, this will be a huge blow to Brown's legacy and validate many of his critics points. I still don't understand why Dolan didn't allow Thomas to resign last winter. I think Dolan believes in those players like Thomas does.

if Isiah gets an extension after a 1st round exit from the playoffs, i will officially stop rooting for this franchise... in 15 years of rooting for this franchise, i've never been more convinced that our owner doesn't care about winning a title.
