If we get rid of Brown, and some of the other crap like Marbury, Francis, Mo T, Jerome stays, I'm officially not gonna be a Knicks fan anymore. What an awful organization.

I'm sorry, do I understand you correctly? If we 'do' get rid of them, you'll quit the Knicks? And do you 'want' one of the worst centers, Jerome, to stay? I read it three times, but it still doesn't sound right.
I'll never trust this' team again.

How the heck could I have missed that? Getting rid of Brown' one thing. But Zeke becoming the coach, oh man' I'm feeling a little sick right now. Maybe things are a lot, lot worse than I think! If this happens, if Brown is out, then expect Marbury to stay for sure.

daily news will report tomorrow that the knicks are considering buying out lb from his contract. according to the article, dolan upset over public criticisms of lb. and there were no answers on to whether or not isiah would coach the team.

well here's the deal...isiah brought in larry brown. and he was a total mismatch to the players on the team. so lb has exposed the roster as poorly constructed. but isiah is the one that convinced the owner to spend all his millions on them. so what does isiah do? does he defend his coach? or does he defend his players? i'm guessing isiah goes with his players. if that's the case, then for his own career, it's best for isiah to fire lb. the biggest question: is it the best for the knicks?

oh well, if this happens, it will make some happy, and it will make some shake their head. i guess you all know which camp i'm in.

No, I want Jerome out. We fire the one person with any credibility, and we remain the biggest debacle in pro sports. Isiah has got to go. He's a f'in pig.

I swear to god this organization does everything backwards. Isiah Thomas couldn't do one job now their going to fire a hall of fame coach and let him coach? My god, James Dolan is the worst owner in sports. THE WORST.

what's obvious is that isiah has dolan's ear. when dolan said "it's up to lb to get curry to be an allstar", we knew that the blame on the season was going to be pinned on larry.

it also may be why isiah allowed or possibly encouraged? marbury to go at lb in the press to create the atmosphere that lb has lost his players. (total speculation on my part). maybe a reason why marbury was almost defiant and ****y when going at brown. maybe he got assurances from his "mentor".

whatever the case, the first and only guy of credibility on the team may be on the way out.

total clusterfcuk.

If Isiah is a total fukcup, then all the Isiah disliker should be good with this move. If Isiah is so incompetent, the team is screwed with or without LB. If Isiah takes the helm, and the team is still god-awful, THEN ISIAH IS GONE.

And if tha happens, then the team can hopefully rebuild for real.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

it makes total sense for isiah. and for anybody that criticized him, like you said, puts it totally on his shoulders. so it will resolve that issue BUT does it have anything to do with what's best for the team? that's the question. what's the motive? when it's universally known that there's a decent sized jump in wins during lb's 2nd year. what's the motive?

my goodness. if this goes down...what a total clusterfcuk. total clusterfcuk.

i'm sure some will be happy about lb being gone...but how can you be happy with the philosophy behind this move?

what if it plays out like this:
06/07 - knicks win 39 games and make the playoffs
07/08 - knicks make a major big $$$ trade and win 45 and possibly sneak into the 2nd round
08/09 - knicks win 45 again but reach it's peak
09/10 - knicks are right back to square one with a .500 or sub .500 team and no cap room for another 3-4 years

Nope, unexceptible! We are not the worst in all of sports. The Red Sox, Chicago White Sox and Chicago Scrubs hold that destinction. But for the first time, I'm starting to wonder about Zeke here. This just makes everything look even worse than the season. First of all, Zeke is underminding himself. He's the one who convinced Dolan of spending and to try and do it himself, he'll be gone soon also and there goes our rebuilder. Now is not the time to panic.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Then I won't be happy. But I don't feel that LB is a guarantee of any long-term success either.

team still needs the following:

1. defenders
2. reliable jumpshooters
3. smart decisions makers with the ball

if isiah coaches, will he actually trade some of "his guys" to get those players or will he be going to war with what we have?

this is scary.

there's no guarantee...but man, lb is the only one in the organization that's done it before and he's done it many times.

Larry Brown's dream job with the New York Knicks could end after only one season.

Madison Square Garden chairman James Dolan, who's upset over Brown's record and the coach's public criticism of his players, is considering buying out the final four years of the coach's contract, the New York Daily News reported in Sunday's editions.

The buyout is worth at least $40 million, the newspaper reported.

The Knicks declined to comment.

One published report indicated Knicks president Isiah Thomas was in line to replace Brown as head coach, the newspaper said, but the team would not confirm nor deny it.

Brown, who led the Knicks to a 23-59 season, has indicated that he will not resign. But the club could avoid having to pay another coach upward of $5 million a year if Thomas takes the job, the Daily News reported. One source told the newspaper that Thomas -- who coached the Pacers from 2000-2003 -- would be amenable to coaching the Knicks.

In April, one day after the Knicks completed one of the worst seasons in franchise history, Thomas said the Hall of Fame coach would return to coach the team for a second season. The underachieving roster was another story.

"I am loyal to winning and I am not loyal to any singular individual," Thomas said then. "I'm going to do what I need to do to make our team better. ...

"When you won 23 games, I think we'll make some changes," he said. "Coach and I haven't sat down and fully decided what changes we'll make, but we'll probably make some changes."
