If the deal were there, would you trade Frye, Lee, Curry & Nate to Cleveland for LeBron???
I'll never trust this' team again.

nope...we know lebron by himself is not a playoff team, they got in after they added a supporting cast.

In this scenario, you are trading his supporting cast to cleveland.

So, if this is yahoo! fantasy basketball, ofcourse, in real life...no need to answer.

on a side note...to actually make a trade that makes some sense (no offense), I would trade frye for melo and thrown in one of the other names.

I can't imagine melo liking it in denver.

Umm yeah. We all love those guys, but we can still draft a build a team after we trade those guys. You have to make a trade like that. Oh by the way, Cleveland should be taken out of the NBA if they are dumb enough to even come up with that in their heads.

as much as I hate to type it, I agree with allan on the cleveland not losing lebron sentiment. Melo is a completely different story.

hoss you're an idiot.

you can get another Curry Frye Lee and Nate. Lebron is once every 10 to 15 years player.

I know I asked, but WOW! You'd let Frye go for Melo, but wouldn't give up these guys for our future championship teams? Why couldn't we just build around LeBron? the kid is 21, averaged 29 this season and is good for superstardom for the next twelve years. Let's not mention the triple doubles he is very capable of. LeBron in Cleveland is probably a go nowhere scenario. A LeBron in New York would mean everything!

but by himself he's not a playoff team...cleveland had lebron and they never made the playoffs, they add the players from last year and they are...I love lebron, but it is a team game and you bitch the most about us not thinking championship...we don't have any picks coming soon and we'd be stuck with an "exciting/gifted/talented" player, but remain in the lottery for 3 years.

are you addicted to fantasy basketball, do you know anything about being a gm...that last post convinces me that you have no idea how to run an NBA team as a GM (same as me), I thought you had some knowledge about building a championship team, but you seem to be more dolan-esque in just wanting a star an praying.

They had LeBron and 'never' made the playoffs?! Dude! Last year was his first year! Ever here of 'a fine wine comes with time'? By himself now' yes, but we could build around him in two seasons. Did I say I was a GM? Are you? What the heck are you babbling about???

my point is that we have a great team full of talent...lebron can't do it by himself and with this trade you a) leave us with nothing left and b) we don't have any draft picks to even build around him.

And no, I'm not a GM...but like I said, if you are talking fantasy basketball then I'd make this trade in a second, but this being real life AND my beloved knicks, I just wouldn't do this trade...sorry. but as usual, it's JMHFO.

also, 49, I like your posts, I was talking to mck1, we seem to have a bond of some sort.

Okay, it was his second, but what I said still stands and it's not even a partial career yet.

Also, I never played fantasy anything. It's all real.

Lebron is in season 3. Cleveland's win total has jumped 10 games every season Lebron has been there.

wtf? it is easy to put the right mix of players around Lebron if you draft wisely and spend wisely.

thats why Ferry who cut his teeth in league standard SA was hired.

to be clear

Marbury = Dolan starphucking

Lebron = FRANCHISE PLAYER

damn, I believed you (long swiss nightlife ) and deleted my original post, but still, while I believe you, you really have to look at this cleveland roster...it's pretty stacked this year (compared to last year).

I mean, unless you agree with most of the anti marbury chumps that believe eric snow is a quality point guard. (oh no, I just opened teh flood gates)

huhuhuhuhuhuhu.....where did you pick that up from? DB?

I would trade for Lebron. It would be much easier to build around him. As a ball player, I really like David Lee on court but Lebron is much better now than he was 2 yeras ago. rvhoss: As good as Lebron is right now, he is only 21 and he is getting better at a frightening rate. He got bigger this offseason, improved his post and shooting game. He also scored 50 points in 1 game before he turned 21. Yea, he couldnt lead the team into the playoffs by himself when he was 20 but I think he can lead his team to a championship when he is 25 or 26. I think 3 years from now, Lebron will be the best player in the NBA. If we have even a 0.001% chance of getting him, we should.

I'm not confident that the knicks could actually add the right pieces to get us a championship, but I am confident with the players we give up we could...as of now, everyone is saying we add a couple of role players and we're all good, lebron has a good game and all of a sudden he's the second coming...to that i say see Kobe.

But I repeat, if it's fantasy basketball, ofcourse, but this being real life, NO WAY!

This is a good point. I bet everyone that will trade for Lebron are doing the trade based on his potential. I agree that there is a bit of a 'hype' factor there. If we are being cautious, I would agree that Curry, Lee and Frye are a bit too much to give up for Lebron. Like you said, he is not the second coming just yet.

I mean Curry, Frye and Lee aint exactly no guarantee of anything either. I guess it boils down to whether you think those players will hellpp more than Lebron will. I think they will. You only hedge all of your bets like that on a dominant big man, those are the only kind of players who can will a team into the playoffs and/or championship.

lebron is 21. even if it takes 7 years to find pieces to help him...he'll just be entering his prime.

you make the deal today, and 10 times on sunday.
