Maybe not a lion. He wont be Hakeem, or D-Rob but we don't need that. Well we do, but we shouldn't expect that. We should expect good rebounding and solid defense, to go along with his already good offensive skills (which we hope continue to develop). Thats what we should expect from Eddy, anything more than that would be great.

Curry is not gonna be a center that is gonna dominate the glass or block a ton of shots. There have been centers in this league that have been good that weren't over powering with blocks and rebounds. Kevin duckworth comes to mind and brad dauthery. Both guys were all stars at least once in their careers. Eddy is a good finnisher. Eddy needs to become great at that and begin to expand his post game. I wanna see eddy put the ball on the floor and try to make a Finnesse move first before locking down and bulling his way to get points. He has a soft touch but rarely takes advantage of it.

Eddy curry is not a guy you give up on. Eddy has to show and prove he can get into NBA shape and not ymca shape! (wink @ silver)

Eddy needs to understand defense. He doesn't have to block everything but he does have to stop the ball. He can't let guys touch the rim on his watch.

Brown did say it takes big young guys time to developed.. HE still have confidence in Curry but i don't think you can rely on Curry in being a franchise player.. He now looks more of a role player..

eddy takes a long time to gather himself. when he gets the ball, it's like he needs to start himself up by bringing the ball down, getting low, and then jumping up. unlike many guys his size, who keep the ball over his head and just go straight up. can this be taught and corrected? like people say, it's a bad habit...and bad habits take a while to fix.

on a side note, with all these young kids already on the roster...man, we are screaming for a rebuild...but this half-assed attempt over the past few years has caught up to us.

i say you play Curry at the power forward position but get yourself a shot blocking rebounder that can play up the middle and lay some pressure off Curry from a defensive standpoint..

From the past in Chicago, look who played that role, Tyson Chandler...

It makes sense to get that shot blocker but those guys are hard to get. There aren't even any really good ones in the draft.

Off the top of the head guys like gadzuric could be available. I love gadzuric but I dunno if anyone would buy into that idea even if the knick killer Maurice Williams came too. Then there is Joel pryzbilla who is a tough dude but is a risk just like Jerome James for about the same money. Dalembert is not going anywhere. How about etan Thomas?

Damn man what about frye?

Its just crazy man. Its like the knicks have a empty roster. What the hell is gonna happen next, you know?

Here's a crazy idea. What if we play Curry at the 4 and Lee at the center?

EnySpree - better look again dude

Mouhamed Saar Sene had nine blocks in the Nike game and his stock is rising

NBA Comparison: Samuel Dalembert

NBAdraft.net

Strengths: An absolutely jaw dropping physical specimen with his combination of size, length, strength, athleticism and mobility ... Very disruptive defensively and rebounds the ball well ... Has a 7'8" wingspan making him a force as a shot blocker ... Already getting playing time at the Senior level for Pepinster and getting decent minutes and stats ... Runs the floor well ... Great hands, has no problems catching the ball or rebounding ... Extremely agile, he can fall down on the court like a cat, not heavily like most big man ... Very coach-able and a hard working kid

He plays for Verviers-Pepinster in Belgiium and I wonder if Isiah's postponed Euro trip was to check him out.

stay tuned

here's another crazy idea.

bring Eddy off the bench and make him prove he is a starting center. Bulls often do it to Chander and he just got an extension as well.

Boy are they are lucky to have a GM who is more concerned with how the team performs than looking like the Budweiser man of genious.

Now this i'm looking forward to. Eddy's falls to the court have certainly been more whale- than cat-like.

posted the draftexpress artile link about him 2 weeks ago. Givony and the Dallas Mavericks have been following him since he first stepped on the scene.

#1 - it would never happen under isiah
#2 - just another crazy "rotation" or "lineup" that senile old brown would put out there

we need an enabler, not a challenger...what a douchebag of an idea...

judging from Larry's comments he has no faith in Curry ever becoming the shot-blocking, rebounding, defensive Center we deperately need. but he thinks he can still improve offensively! Maybe next year he can give us 18/6/1!!!!!!! while Chicago stockpiles

Eddy ain't gazy. nice slant with "Timmy was 23 once".

Eddy needs a mean streak but that ain't him.

It comes so far easy for him. I like him, and like most of us we get mentally tougher as we get older.

Except for Marbury who still be won't grow up cuz he heard "Trix are for kids" and the little voice inside him thinks if he grows up he can't have any more! Silly rabitt!

This kid is basically the only one and he might get picked before the knicks pick.....

Still there is no one in the draft that is gonna come in and give brown a hard on.

Brown wants guys that have proven they can play this game. He hates to play rookies.
