That must be the other Kiki - the same guy that passed on Amare TWICE...

I hope not, or acquired that outstanding stud, Tskitisdvldldl based on no contact workouts and chad ford clippings. I love Kiki, but that dude has to wake up every morning thanking the good Lord, that Dumars get ESPN.com too. If Kiki is headed this way, it changes nothing for me, "luck be a lady tonight."

If it is Kiki I am for it, he did a damn good job of turning the Nuggets around. Is Kmarts physical problems his fault?

Carmelo did a good job of turning around that team. Too bad he can't shoot, right Larry.

in the olympic game you have to be able to shoot. It's the exact reason teams like Argentina and Lithuania beat the USA.

If we did end up with Kiki, I would wait until after the draft since chances are we will have at least one first round pick to use and the draft is the only thing Isiah can really do well.

Can't argue with that

no credit for turning a dead franchise into a perennial play-off team in his first GM stint cause he passed on Amare in his first draft? hilarious

younger and athletic was the floor not the ceiling

kiki's an improvement over isiah, but only b/c he had a vision.

his execution could've been better, but hey --- they're good, and we suck.

i'm all for it.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

It's a little different building a franchise when you are over the salary cap and don't have the draft picks....Just a little different...

Kiki has something Isiah lacks - PATIENCE.

And his ability to deal for players is top notch

I'm really not that infactuated with Kiki as a GM.

I agree somewhat that he had Carmelo land in his lap. Even the Knicks under Layden had the third pick that year they would have drafted Carmelo too, and probably kept him. Sure Kiki freed up cap space, but overpaid for K-Mart, Nene hasn't turned out to be that good of a player and is injured (not Kiki's fault, though), and they still haven't found a replacement for Veshon Leanord. Boykins , Evans & Paterson (maybe) were good pickups, but that team wins because of Carmelo.

"because of Carmelo..."

that was his pick. Bosh and Wade were on the board so fall into his lap isn't quite accurate.

Had Ny won anything it would be because of Marbury and Isiah would get credit for acquiring him.

What are we really talking about here?

32 million is a big difference and comes close to equaling another salary cap. Now, we are 32 million more away from some financial flexibility.
