Whatever I feel about Larry Brown (and it isn't pretty), Crawford was willing to work his ass off to buy into it, always faces the media, plays hard, plays smart, hasn't picked sides. I think he's just a great prospect, I think he can a borderline all-star type player. He's trying to become a leader, has never pointed a finger. I love this kid. For everyone who said this was a bad trade by Isiah, I think that's ridiculous.

Also, keep Malik Rose, too; whatever his limitations, he's a standup guy and a good teammate and at least he TRIES.

And keep every rookie.

he has turned things around- maybe if Crawford can develop, there is hope for Curry.

I say keepers are clearly Craw, Nate, Lee, Frye, Butler, Woods.

Curry is on the fence- its a guestion of know when to fold- and it might be.

Crawfords perceived resurrection may be enough along with Lee or the Spurs pick to get high enough to draft a legit starting point which is 10x's more than seeing if he can vindicate Isiah...

besides
Nates better at the 2 be it starting or off the bench. Q is a good influence and has emerged as a lockerroom leader and has an uninsured contract (27 missed games this season)

next year expect a 9 man rotation. Q and Nate = 2 backcourt positions set. Whoever the point is = 3; 4 for the frontcourt and 2 mre spots for starting 3 and either a fourth guard or back-up 3.

I think Craw, Nate and QRich should be locks for the back court next season. Try to get a pure PG to mix with that group.

we CANNOT go into another season with-out at minimum 2, best case 3 point guards on the roster

Nate has to be a PG- his passing and play making have gotten better- I'd hope he could fill the role of back up PG- but then Craw should be a off the bench combo guard.

QRich played defense, but we could get someone out of D league to do that- he has to score and I don't think he is the answer.

We've got plenty of good puzzle pieces- problem is, not all are for the same puzzle and there is overlap/bad fits.

Yeah you are right...While you questioned his shot selection in the past, he always had a great attitude and looked like a guy will to do what it takes for the team...So I'm have to say I'mm happy for him and Kudos to Larry for turning his game around....

I think Craw is officially a PG now. Get a solid pure PG to split the job with Craw and get a third stringer who won't play much. but Craw should play half the game at PG next year.

Nate may have to guard point guards but that doesn't mean he has to play as one.

Nates a scorer who can find people with the pass. This doesn't make him a point, just more complete than other scoring guards.

based off WHAT

he's been running the offense the last 13 or 15 games and he's looked good. I'll look up his numbers...

alright:

since he's been starting due to injury - 12 games:

21.8ppg, 5.5 apg, 3 to, 2.6spg, 44fg%, 84ft%

it's not even the numbers, it's the way he carries himself. he wants to be a leader and he is turning into one. I really like the way he plays. he's trying on D, he's hit 3 game winner in this span. he's a much more mature player.

5.5 assists - 3 turnovers do not say officially a point guard

Not sure if you go from a "selfish" pg putting up 13 shots per game to one that puts up 17 shots per game...

Sound numbers for a 2 guard...

5.5 assists - 3 turnovers do not say officially a point guard

Chauncey Billups under LB for two years:

03-04 - 5.7apg, 2.4to
04-50 - 5.8apg, 2.3to

not saying Jamal is ALL the way there, but we're rebuilding right? if he can be a PG at 6'5" with an unguardable crossover, he can be our man. LB's PGs do not get a lot of assists if they are "playing the right way," they are supposed to give up the ball early in the shot clock to create ball movement, not pound the ball and look for cutters or pick and rolls like our friend Marbury did.

Billups shortcomings were masked by playing with the best starting 5 plus whatever you lose in efficiency and decision making with Chauncey, you get back with his ability to post up 1's, shoot over 1's, and tight defense

and yet Billups is averaging 8.6apg this year as the Pistons scored more and won 11 more games. It's Brown's offense, man. not Billups.
