Same with Nate Robinson, who seems to be the most popular Knicks player with the Garden fans but a frequent target of Brown's for showboating after exciting plays. Brown was quick to point out one such time that allowed Cleveland to get an easy basket during a game last week.

"That's the hardest thing because the fans love it," Robinson said. "They love to see the way I get fired up. ... I think that Coach kind of gets tied in, or caught between me trying to showboat or trying to have all the attention on me I guess."

perhaps I'm reading this wrong but is Natebury saying Browm is somehow jealous because of the crowd jeers or is trying to squash his shine?

You're showboating while your man is down court putting Philly back-up 20 enroute to a 47 point night. Wtf is the confusion about

What Thomas thinks about Brown's performance, or anything else, remains a mystery. Perhaps worn from the criticism he's taken for a litany of unsuccessful moves to improve the team, he hasn't spoken with the media since February's trade deadline, and the Knicks say he won't again until the end of the season.

What a stand up guy Isiah is.

Hmmm would Isiah have been this nonexistent if things were going great?

This guy is a f***ing joke. The fact that its been decided that he's not going to face the music for his disaster until after the season, while the coaches and players have to continue to answer for it daily, is completely gutless. There's no other word to describe it. He's done it before with his "scouting trips" but now he's just making it known outright that he just doesn't want to face the music.

How can anybody have faith in this gutless puke loser to bring us out of the depths that he's put us in? It's completely mindboggling that people put this on LB when this idiot is the one that put all of this together. His players + His coach = HIS FAULT.

Nate has a reason to moan?

his turnovers being way down the last 3 games I agree is a good thing.

What I take from that is Nate saying that Brown is telling him that showboating is self-serving, and what the team really needs from him is to keep his cool and keep his head in the game. But Nate is still trying to spin the showboating as productive by suggesting it energizes the fans and the team as well.

It reminds me a bit of when Mason and Riley would go at it. Riley would tell Mason that his posting guys down from the top of the key, with all the dribbling that would entail, was stifling the offense, so he'd bench him. Mason would come back with "yeah but I thought picks, steals and rebounds also initiate an offense."

It's like the expression: "I'm not trying to hear that."

Guys need to take the kernels of truth from the coaching without feeling like it's a critique on everything they do, good and bad.

I don't love the showboating. But I do think he has improved and I think there's a niche for him. He's an offensive weapon at the end of games.

what if he's staying quiet b/c after the season is over, he announces his resignation?

in a sane business model, there is no way this guy should keep his job. 3 of the next 5 UNPROTECTED picks are gone with a total of 4 out of 6. hundreds of millions...HUNDREDS...have been spent on this team of futility and coaches. my goodness man. people are starving all over the world. people are homeless. there's a war in iraq and he's spending money without a care in the world. of course it starts with dolan but my god, somebody end this once and for all...

Mck1 .. come on dude. He's a 21yr old rookie who plays hard. He plays defense.. He is going to make mistakes. His is contrite and respectful in his tone towards his coach, despite the numerous bad influences that litter this roster. Many more things to bitch about... than Nate. I guess I'm trying to see the point here in posting the same moanings again and again.. and again.. are you a NY beat reporter or something?

no.

I love Nates energy and confidence. Before the season started I looked very much forward to when he and Crawford would be in the backcourt together.

I just feel whether you're 21 or 31, self adulation and self promotion when your team wins 21 is sickeneing. He isn't th only young player on this team or in the league. Jackie Butler arguably is having the best stretch of anyone on the team. He isn't bending over to pat himself on the back when he makes a good play. The team has won 21 games. Theres a helluva lot of avenues to give something back to the fans than spreading your arms like an airplane everytime you get off a tough shot and imagining you're writing Nate is Great in the sky.

You're a f***ing idiot if you're making up quotes and attributing them to me like this.

Martin or Andrew, do me a favor and delete this idiots post. You can delete this one as well.

Regardless of whether Isles really typed it or not, it is true... lol. (No, I'm not serious)

Don't worry Isles, I got your back.
