Curry is averaging 13.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 26.1 minutes and shooting 56%. When asked to rate his season, Curry said that he's played well "with the minutes I got" and that he's been a good offensive player. But even Curry felt uncomfortable with the label of franchise player.

///

Now what is the problem? Is it Curry gets too many fouls and can't stay on the court or is it that Brown is an @$$ and keeps pulling Curry from the game and not giving Curry enough minutes? The per minute stats look good and over 40 minutes look like 20 and 10, but the defense which is not really statistically evident is probably bad and the fouls over 40 minutes probably approach Felton Spencer "for hire" levels.

His defense is ATROCIOUS.

His continually committing the same stupid-ass offensive foul over and over again is atrocious.

His one-dimensional game is atrocious.

His slack-jawed dead-eyed presence on the court is atrocious.

His fat barely-movable body is atrocious.

His constant injuries on almost every imaginable type of movement is atrocious.

Other than that, we're getting our money's worth out of him.

I don't mind those offensive fouls so much because you have to expect that. I remember a quote from Matt Guokas, once said of Shaq after he left the Magic, everything being equal and all, Shaq probably doesn't make it out of 3rd quarter of a NBA game. Referencing to complaints that Shaq gets away with a number of offensive fouls during a game. Refs had been warned to call more offensive fouls this season, so I am not surprised. Shaq is going crazy down there and making threats at Stu Jackson. It is the problem of the big man.

I'm pretty sure when he becomes a defensive precense and a rebounder he will never have to worry about minutes again in his life. In the meantime, sorry Eddy.

it's kinda sad to witness a 6'11 275 pounder athlete who is not known for defense or rebounding.. He's been in th league for 4 yrs now and slightly improved but need to get way better..

LArry said it's critical to have a premier point guard and legit center that can rebound and play defense..

Hopefully, next season Curry will be a different b-ball player..

Is Butler is better defensive presence?

Eddy's upside is so much larger than that of Butler, just another thing to shake your head at this year...

Butler is possibly the worst defensive center in the game today....he has zero lateral or verticle movements...besides I thought Larry wasn't concerned about winning but teaching his players to "pla the right way"....

Curry come to dunk. Butler comes to play.

Curry has displayed 0 growth in his game from last season to this one.

Butler has shown a hookshot and a turnaround and steps to the freethrow line with confidence and drains them.

and as for the worst defensive center

that distinction belongs solely to Curry. He can go sky high and catch alley-oops but he can't get up to alter or block shots. Please

Blocked shots is not a good measure of defense...Jackie constantly gets beat left and right by players..he is always stationary getting blown by...

my bad. didn't realize we were discussing 2-guards.

And please explain to me what Curry does out there on the defensive end. He isn'y challenging shots or rebounding and he definitely isn't running out on shooters.

I just think Jackie is slow footed. He is too short to really man the center spot on a starting basic and not athlethic enough to keep up with these hybrid PFs. Overrall I like what he has shown down the stretch. All the Knicks big men need to take stamina training. I am not impress with the Knicks' training staff the last couple of years. I miss Riley's all year training programs.

That is precisely my point...these things are happening to him in the post...Just look at the games...Curry is not a defensive genius either...But giving Curry's minutes to Jackie is pointless...Jackie is not the past, present, or future of this organization...Giving him big minutes only hurt Curry's development..Curry need to play big minutes to improve him overall game...The guy needs to learn to play with fouls..He needs to learn what he can get away with and what he can't while in foul trouble...I really don't see any positives not having him in the game...We need to know whether or not this guy can be the real thing...It's not going to happen with him on the bench...He's not not like a rook when he can learn by sitting...He needs big minutes...Brown's handling of Curry is just a micrososm of how the Knicks were handled this year, we know we have talent but we have no idea how good they can be.....

Curry has been in the league now 5 years. why should he still be handled with kid gloves?
