Where has it been speculated. Where is the quotes from Curry (who would be the only who could support the theory since you said in the back of his mind).

If that is truly the case, I think Isiah would have to at least offer a pay-out similar to what Paxson did. I know if I was in Isiah's shoes and that theory was true, I would do the moral thing and offer him the pay-out. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I was in Isiah's shoes and allowed Curry to just play it out and one night just collapse on the floor.

If that is truly the case and Eddy is thinking about those things, I don't see how anyone would make him play.

As someone in the medical field, i'm sure they had Eddy sign waiver forms that if Curry died during a game or practice from a pre-existing heart condition that the Knicks would have no liability. If Curry died from his heart condition and signed the contract with full medical disclosure that he could die, then he should play or forfeit the remainder of his contract. He shouldnt get "bought out."

What exactly is his medical condition? We know doctors cleared him to play but that's not to say he doesn't have a condition. They clear players to play on lots of conditions, like sprains and arthritic knees, doesn't mean they don't have a condition. Lets remember, his condition, whatever it is, was discovered because of light headedness and fatigue, so something was up.

I don't know but I suspect he does have a condition, takes meds and is monitored regularly.

Could that haunt his psyche? Sure. Could doctors recommend he be paced? Sure. Should he be bought out? I don't know yet, but it's not encouraging that he gets outplayed by Butler in 2nd halfs.

at the end of the season, when you see these young kids going all out and trying, and seeing some players developing, he's sort of regressing and continuing to just loaf around. the eddy curry story will not end good for us in ny. we gave up too much for him, especially with the health concerns.

I always felt that, if Curry understood the risks and wanted to play, that's his business. For an athelete, an opportunity to play at an elite level may trump all other considerations.

Now, I'm not sure Curry is able to understand the risks.

No, you misunderstood me. I wasn't suggesting he took the test. I thought Pax wanted the test to see whether or not Eddy was predisposed to the condition that Lewis and Gathers died from. But if Eddy has already been diagnosed with the same condition as Gathers and Lewis - by means other than the DNA test - it's a far more serious condition than I realized. Isn't having what they died from bad enough?
