>>Does anyone have ANY doubt we are simply better off without the fat spoiled or malcontent uber rich crybabies like Marbury, Mo Taylor, Jerome James and Jalen Rose? Even Francis... whats his role here? Just let Penny off the books and keep Ariza around.
fish.mike - you are too much of a basketball scholar to overlook the effect of throwing an all-young dude lineup into the NBA marathon. Think of the potential loss of confidence as their development could have been crushed under the weight of scrutiny WITHOUT the overpaid, lardbutts and crybabies like Marbury, Mo Taylor, Jerome James and Jalen Rose.
The role of the lazy veterans was to absorb the heat from the fans and the media while the kids gained experience during the season with cameo minutes.
We now see them play with confidence and nothjing to lose.

Who cares? Qyntel Woods held Paul Pierce to three points in the second half.
David Lee boards like a demon. Jackie Butler is as steady a frontcourt player we could want in the draft. Did I mention he's only 20 years old?
Fuggedabout Steve francis. He will ear his minutes like everyone else.
That is if there are any minutes left with the next lead guard that Isiah acquires
Not at all. What you do is get PROFESSIONAL players to ease those burdons. We have Malik Rose and he's done that at times. Guys like Eric Williams. George Lynch if need be. Mutumbo. No, they arent stars, but they are players that play hard, practice hard and does what the coach tells them. They are low cost, wont be malcontents and will have a positive effect on your younger players. Kurt Thomas, Adonal Foyle.. there are plenty out there.
There is a difference between these guys being your team and getting some good veterans to balance a young roster. Thats what I am talking about. Brevin Knight, Tony Battie... Isiah can spend a gazillion on Jalen Rose, Marbury, etc but we have one freakin veteran player in Malik Rose that practices hard, plays hard, listens to the coach and has been in a winning situation.
