he pretty much just said that he doesn't know if LB will be back if steph, francis, and jalen are on this team next year.

Hey, can't blame the guy-- it's not like he endorsed the trades for Rose and Francis or anything.

i think brown will have an easier time dealing with francis, seeing as how thers NO way we find suitors for both of them.

marbs to minny. cut jalen.

problem solved.

(i'd also add in taylor + lee for kmart)
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

man...who cares who endorsed them.

LB may have to deal with it...

the Knicks need to stop trading away 'expiring' contracts for these long term ones.

All he did was "beg" Isiah to get Francis!

He did? We hear rumors to that effect, but all we know is he endorsed it for a show of unity.

SAS just reiterated what has been in the papers this moring. When SAS says it in his special SAS serious tones, it just sounds so intense!

yeah I was just about to say that, didnt he endorse both francis and jalen trades? unless he just said that to cover for Isiah who still hasnt learned his lesson about acquirng overpaid offensive minded players. but another thing that doesnt make sense is that larry started both steph and jalen when they were healthy, and now francis. I dont know if that info from SAS is accurate.

in an interview with SAS about a week after the trade, lb said that they weren't the first choices. they had other deals on the table but they couldn't agree so they settled for these trades. not exactly a "ringing" endorsement. remember, when we signed qyntel, isiah had NO problem laying that on LB. but not these two trades. it goes with the philosophy of isiahnomics - if you let expiring deals expire, they are wasted assets. especially after 3 of the next 5 unprotected #1's are already traded.

Maybe Blueseats can rummage through his newspaper clippings and find all the relevant quotes Brown made about Rose and Francis leading up to and after the trades.

From my understanding Brown wanted Jalen. Isiah said that was Browns call. Brown was gushing about him. Rose was playing great until he got the "Vapors" from that locker room.

Isiah and Brown both endorsed Francis. They were both excited about him.

We'll see. Marbs I think has to go. Nate too.......but to where and for whom is the question. Dolan has money but not to be waiving guys left and right. Knicks have to salary dump, starphuck and work the draft....on top of waiving guys.......we are gonna have a interesting off-season.

Right-- well, correction. All we know is that he endorsed the trades to some extent-- we don't know why exactly. Still, if one is going to take these SAS rumors at face value as credible, then one should take Brown's comments at face value as credible as well. In which case there's still a contradiction. Maybe Larry is a Walt Whitman fan.

Jalen Rose was brought in to add a draft pick, not to be our savior. Francis was added for Penny Hardaway & Trevor Ariza with the plan to retrade him for more or possibly to make Marbury more expendable.

Neither of these players were added to turn the Knicks around. And both where thrown in bad situations.

Larry said Francis was on his short list he game to Isiah....I'm not sure what that mean but seems like he wanted Francis here...Much was made about Larry's list of players...He wasn't the first choice but he was on larry's list and so was Jalen....By the way...Isiah turned down the Vince Carter trade when toronto insisted JRose be included....So year later, he takes JRose straigh up for nothing...yeah that makes sense....

Larry told Marbs how much input he has now on trades(juice card) but you guys can't see him saying yes to any of these trades huh...You just don't want to believe it...How can your guy make such decisions, right...It must be Isiah...even when he owns up to it you don't believe him...He is just covering Isiah's tracks...amazing...

Holfresh: It's everyone. When you realize that, you shall be set free. You are watching the worst organization in the history of the planet. So bad that when they brought in a hall of fame coach who had just gone to two straight finals the team revolted. What does that say to you?

Whether we win 20 games, 30 or 35 is immaterial. This whole thing stinks and will not change until we get rid of this overabundance of excuse making and get down to being a team. Pointing fingers at coaches for failure of effort is insane. Blaming Marbs is insane. Blaming Zeke is insane. We are the worst team assembled. No person on earth has the power to cause this. We need to change our culture by bringing in winners even if they are 10 years past their prime. No more having leaders that have never gotten out of the 1st round determining what system we run. It's insanity.
I just hope that people will like me

Bip that is right...finally, I have been saying this all along...It's everyone...Not jsut Marbs, Not just Isiah, not just Brown but everyone has a part in this mess...Lots of changes need to be made..Unfortunately some players I like have to go...I get that..but understand this...Brown shows up with the same nonsense next year, no rotation, starting players in their home town, Malik in your power forward at the beginning of the year....we buy him out by Christmas....

knicks have more trading assets than one can imagine. they have the ability to bring in a completely new team that can even accompany larry laureate's most desired wishes.

dont be surprised what you see in the off season

...........let the trading begin
