with the number one overall pick, we should have a good shot at him. that'll be one good thing about this season, to get a young stud like Noah to build around...hey, wait a minute...

I liked the way he contested every shot but picked up few fouls. Good coordination and instincts.

He's also very active, a good passer, very assertive player.

It is hard to predict how his game will transfer to the pros, though. Jared Jeffries looked this good in college, after all.

I was impressed with this kid from UCLA, Jordan Farmar. Anyone watch him during the season and have any comments?

EDIT: Also liked Luc Mbah a Moute of UCLA. Kid was super active. He develops an outside shot, he could be a dynamite SF.

Ty Thomas looked sensational in spurts, like a young Antonio McDyess. Didn't have a good game though. I assume he must have strung together some really great performances earlier in the tournament?

That place is a real lesser-known gem. I have several friends who sent their kids there and love it. I interned at the VA Hospital across the street and used to marvel at the athletic facilities and how many kids were out there competing all the time.

i think thats a very good comparison. he's won't anything more in the pros imo. I was thinking Chandler but Chandler is 7'1. Gadz is a good comparison. There are too many guys with a higher ceiling

noah is Ok, he is being overhyped, I see him as a dan gadzurich type of player, all of this lottery crap... bah!!

I like tyrus thomas also, but he was overhyped, and both he and big baby got worked over by some guy with 4 first names on UCLA, luc Ricard, muhomto, mahta, whatever? LOL..... tyrus thomas was 2-4 in a final 4 game and I got peeps telling me they rather have him over curry and frye.... oh boy!! but he will ge good one day....

yeah Ty should just stay in school and I think he will after that performance. he can be REAL good one day. If he does come out you have to take him over Morrison/Aldridge

But Noah did go to Poly? Wow, I never heard of Poly being a basketball school. I never heard of a player going to a D1 college either. huh... I know it was and is a football school, but I guess they're recruiting in every sport now.

who would he be if Isiah hadn't traded the pick?

Noah will be a much better player than Gadz. Why do I say this? Because of his ability to handle the friggin ball out on the perimeter. You've got a 6' 11 guy who can take the ball off of the backboard and start the break. He gives it up, he fills the lane, he finishes. That is a match-up nightmare for say a Channing Frye who loses people in the half-court with the ball being walked up. WTF is he going to do when forced to pick up a Joakim Noah full court?

Poly Prep has always had a strong basketball team for a private school. I would bet Noah is the best player by a long shot in the history of their program though.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

yeah i like farmar, he's a great shooter. he's been playing really well all year, but I think he'd have to be in the right system to really flourish as a star.

That Eddie curry kid from university of Isiah looks like the next Shaq!

I still think eddie is better than any one in this draft.

MCK1, I would venture to say that bogut, and Magloire are much tougher defenders than noah, and just as offensively gifted, Frye dropped 30 on them and did pretty good guarding bogut, why in the hell should we worry about some 6'11 kid that can't hit a shot outside of 10 feet and is not strong enough to get position. It is amazing with you how every hyped college player is better than frye... I am also amazed how the tyrus thomas hype died after his 2-4 performance..... get off the wagon bro..

its amazing how people read what they want and not whats actually said. I never compared him to Frye, I said he will be better than Gadz but since you mentioned it Noah will be better all around.

And the Tyrus hype didn't calm down, he is no. 1 on both draftnet and draft express mocks. People aren't talking about him because the Bulls own the ****ing pick if he decides to come out
