Kevin Garnett, Marko Jaric and MIN pick to New York.

No Starbury in my deal.
Oh, before anyone starts killing me, I do like Frye a lot, but I consider this deal to be good for us in the long and short term.

likely Blount Hudson and Hassell for Steph.

i think i must've proposed about 10 different times that we should look to trade Steph to MINN & you never commented on it... now you want to talk about trade prospects to MINN... gotta love it.

I would do that trade even if I didnt get the pick back. I would trade Marbury for Banks and Jaric... no problem. I would also look to them move Steve Francis to the Hawks for either their pick or Al Harrington in some combo. Inlcude Nate and our picks.. they have no guards.

If I had to frontload Bank's salary to make the deal work fine. Forget Ebi and Dupree. I would rather keep the invites for Butler and Woods or another FA. Just make it Jaric and Banks. Give Banks $25mm over 3 years. Its too much but you can makes it 8.3 x3 his agent will be all over it. We gave Chris Dudley $7mm. This guy is a defensive beast. One of the best.

Maybe we swap picks w/ Sota... something like this:
Marbury and picks 21+29 for Jaric + Banks (S&T 3 years $25mm) and pick 8

Then turn around and get something done w/ Atl
Francis + Nate + pick 8 for Harrington and pick 4. If I cant do the picks I still would move Francis/Nate for Harrington to balance to roster. We dont have match w/ Atl becase they are under the cap, and they need guards.

You actually get some perimeter guys that play defense with priority. Its a little weak up front as there are too many young guys and I would take a hard look at Tony Battie for 2 years $10mm

this whole thread is flawed, it makes much more sense to bring KG here. We have piece to give minny, they have NOTHING but washed up players who will make us worse. If you guys were being objective you would see that.

Jaric is garbage? He was the best player in Europe. He's 27. He's got a good pro game and only getting better now. He plays defense. He passes and plays the team game like you would expect a great Euro player to do. He's 6'7 and can play all 3 wing spots. Then you have Banks who might be the best defender at PG right now. I dont see those as 2 washed up options. Right now the one washed up is Marbury. He's the Juwan Howard/Derrick Coleman of PGs. I'm tired of hearing how good hit stats are or how talented he is, or how every situation is wrong for him.

Jaric is getting better? What have you been watching? He's no good. As was said earlier, they have NOTHING that would improve our team and yet we'd be giving them Steph and no matter how some of you feel about him, Steph would make them a MUCH better team. Steph, KG and Davis is a NICE group.

I would look to trade for KG and not the other way around. They could have just about anything to make that deal. Frye, Picks, Exp. Contracts and Francis. Whatever, just get it done.

good post fish, I would not mind this at all, I would do it in a hearbeat.... but as far as battie goes, the magic just extended him 4 more years the other day..

As far as jaric goes, people say he is trash, the guy is getting no love in minn. He is a decent defender, can handle the ball, pass and shoot, I would take him..

Since KG has already put his position out there that he wants Statbury, we have Frankenstein by his bolts. I want a Steph, SA pick for Blount Jaric, Eddie Griffin and Minny 1st RD pick this year.
