Frye hasn't been good because Larry hasn't been playing him...Larry has single handedly took him out of the ROY race...Paul would have won..But it would have been nice to see our future get a little love...

i'm assuming it had nothing to do with teams adjusting to frye's jumpshooting and not leaving him open. oh, and combine that with him being probably the 2nd biggest defensive liablity on the team, and being more and more exposed on the defensive end as the season went on, probably played a part in the reduced playing time.
eddy curry started right away, and played minutes his entire career. 5 years late and he's still fundamentally flawed. taking away frye's minutes early will only help him down the road. and if he doesn't respond, then chances are he's not the right guy to help build a championship team anyway.
That's a bunch of garbage! Frye doesn't need that kind of motivation. He's already highly motivated to do everything he can to win. He's not gonna learn much from not playing. There's no excuse for LB to have not played Frye and Lee or Butler, Woods and Nate. Look how much good it did us to play the vets. This is one of the worst coaching jobs i've ever seen. He's a great coach but he laid a HUGE egg this year. His ego has been so inflated by the Title, that he has lost all sense of reason when it comes to coaching.
His stubborn insistence on flipping the lineups and rotations. Playing guys and not playing guys for seemingly no good reason. Chirping to the media about everything under the sun that he feels about his players, which i'm sure did wonders to make him respected and loved by his players. You want a coach that players will run thru a wall for and that isn't LB. He could get away with it in Detroit, but here he needed to be a little more understanding and open to different things. Like playing the talented young kids as much as possible so they can learn and be more ready for next year. This season was really about growth, cuz we weren't going to win anything anyway.
