any time you can get a player like francis for an ending contract on his last leg, and someone who's barely a role player, you done did good. so go ahead zeke haters, hate away!

Not a Zeke hater....think every trade he's made can be justified except this one. Zeke has been acumulating talent now he has to start sorting it out...role players Duhon, Blake, Battier is what we need not shooting, no defense, questionable character guys around our young guys. Orlando gave this guy away with getting nothing in return for a reason. BTW I think Ariza was zero loss; he'll never develop a shot and has poor ball handling. If we can turn Francis for something Denver or Portland has to offer I'll back away from my stance but I do not like this deal.

there should have been a third option: without other moves it makes no sense.

Zeke traded for Jalen too early. If he was gonna get Francis, he should've gone all the way and got Miles/Ratliff or Kmart with the AD deal.

how can you not love this trade?!!? Reezy wasn't even playing anymore and Franchise is great. Penny did nothing for us as well.

I never understand why trading players that provide no value to the team is a bad thing (see moochie/vin trade).

It's too early to tell. ask me tomorrow night when we know what the roster looks like for the rest of the season. If Lee was playing I would never trade him, but he's not really playing.

i voted good. we got an allstar, but really only time will tell...lb has to do more PT management with franchise due 30mins...this really has the potential to be very bad!!!

Chemistry...Francis has street cred but is not a winner...trust me within a year we'll be discussing how we can get rid of this guy. Look @ the 2 best teams in the league San Antonio and Detroit...notice the common denominator.

Other teams wanted Francis- granted, no one could just offer up $15m in an expiring deal.

We keep him here for this season, summer and part of next- let him buy in and contribute & then trade him next year for some better fiting parts.

To me it's a lousy trade.

Don't like Stevie Franchise - doesn't play a winning game; teams are gald to see him go.

Don't like the mish-mash of our roster.

Don't like the add-on spending ad nauseum.

Take a look at how many horribly overpriced and underproducing palyers we have on this roster.

AND I miss Reezy.

Allan Houston thought Garrity was part of the deal...obviously he hasn't put alot of thought into this. Allan Houston also works for the Knicks in some compacity...not a lot of credibility for me.

I hate this deal! This is simply pathetic. This just makes no sense! Why can't we just let the freaking expiring contract expire instead of dealing for an overpaid player that won't impact our team, but rather create more chemistry problems. Isn't it enough? Is it a no- brainer because it involved a supposedly All-Star? The only no-brainer was our GM, who convinced me that he has no freaking plan with the team and that the only sure thing is that his days are counted in NY.

Some of you love this deal and explain that to get an All-Star for an expiring contract is a no-brainer. Guess you loved the Ewing trade, the deal that really started this terrible stretch. We didn't need Francis! Wasn't that obvious? This team is headed nowhere, has no true identity. This move only guarantees more suffering for us fans.

Thanks Isiah for proving you have no plan...

Garrity was part of a proposal....Alan Houston mentioned in the interview that the Knicks get Pat garrity too ie he read the morning papers and that's about it.

Miles and Kmart are out. KG might happen over the summer. This season we focus on getting the Bulls the number one pick and developing Frye for the Twolves, apparently. Yay, Knicks.
