it doesent quite work salary wise but its VERY close.... IF we get francis for ariza + penny wouldent this make snese for BOTH teams???? i mean Denver needs a SG and we need a backup Point.. seems to make the most sense

I was thinking the same thing, but DEN would want KMart attached to deal.

Remember, DEN is very consious about the luxury tax and they have Melo and Nene to worry about.

NO WAY...I am in no way interested in Watson unless we are tradeing something we have absolutely no use for....Watson can't even earn RESERVE spot on that roster and we are gonna trade a borderline starter for him?

Please don't get caught in the Watson hype.....look at his stats....his free throw percentage is in teh 60s.....He is ok...but he is not in Craw's league.....

He is tough, I remember seeing him with Memphis, but I don't see the reason of trading Craw for him when Craw sort of fills more of a need, especially if we get Francis and can use Q1, Steph and Francis in the back court, we don't need him.

I would rather have Francis then Watson, KMart, Odom, Miles......I am not that impressed with where Watson fits on his team...can't we just go out and sign Frank Williams or a defenive minded PG off the scrap heap? Hell, I'll take Eric Snow for a song and a dance over Watson if he costs us Craw...there is no sense overpaying for him and sending Craw there is overpaying, IMO

That's overpaying for a basically short, defensive specialist PG...I would rather deal Craw for size to fill the semi-hole we have at PF with a defenive presence in the middle or the PF spot. I'd do Ariza and Craw (maybe some picks) as a package for KMart and Watson...I just can't see the eason dealing for Watson with Francis Q and Steph already on the roster. Even if we don't trade for Francis best I would do is Mo Taylor and maybe the spurs pick for Watson.

Craw is a better player than Watson. Maybe Craw doesn't fit here, but I don't see a rush to just dump him.

Craw is a terrible player. He's an inconsistent scorer who plays no D and makes stupid decisions. If you can get someone who fills *any* need (be it backup PG) for him, you have to do it.

GMs around the league know that Craw is good on the offensive end of things but SUCKS defensively. And only up-tempo teams would want Craw, but would hesitate because of how many years his contract is (and notice the numbers at the end of the deal). You will NEVER be able to deal Craw for a big, unless that big is maybe Foyle or some such garbage.

Don't think for a moment that Fransis and/or Marb wont be traded again when their value peaks (if they are both in NY).

I think Isiah is trying to increase the talent on the team for a possible KG deal (whether now or in the summer) ... and he is also trying to get guys that are in the mold of Brown. Watson fits that to a T.

^but Francis doesn't, neither does Miles......both of these guys were attached at one time or another to guys Larry would like (Francis to Battie, and he seems to WANT Francis), Miles to Ratliff, Watson to KMart. I would take Watson in a KMart deal, but just not by himself for Craw.

and that's why you see all of the waffling and no trades yet. On Browns list: Watson, Theo, healthy Kmart, Evans, Battie. Who he wants gone: JC, Ariza, Nate, Big Game.

That's my point though. Watson str8 for Craw doesn't make sense. Another pg, one who can't swing to the 2......he's short like our other PG's and the only thing he has over them is he is better defensively. But then we have a hole at the 2 (unless you put Jalen or Q there long term)....

The type of player I would trade Watson for is a player at the talent level of Jaric, Ratliff, maybe Patterson, Devean George, maybe Derek Fisher....

I am not overrating Craw, or at least I don't feel I am, but I would trade Craw for players a step above that like a Mike Miller, Shane Battier, In a package for a Pietrus....
