Hornets Acquire Norris For Lampe
13th February, 2006 - 3:47 pm
Press Release - The New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets announced today that they have acquired guard Moochie Norris and cash considerations from Houston in exchange for center Maciej Lampe.

“The acquisition of Moochie gives us a solid veteran at the third point guard spot,” said Hornets General Manager Jeff Bower. “With the recent injuries to Chris Paul and Speedy Claxton, we felt it was important to bring in a player who had experience at running a team as extra insurance.”

Norris had averaged 2.2 points and 1.0 assists in 29 games with the Rockets this season prior to the trade. The eight-year veteran has averaged 5.2 points and 2.8 assists in 429 career games, including stints with the Grizzlies, Sonics, Knicks and Rockets. His best NBA season came in 2001-02 when he averaged 8.1 points and 4.9 assists in 82 games with Houston.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

if I'm gonna take your Herpes, not only do I want your unprotected lottery pick, but give me an expiring contract and one of your youngiees and I'll find a third team to give you ghonoerea (Not that's even close to being spelled right.)

I was going to say, it's going to take a three-way in order to get gonorrea.

Don't call it a comeback, I been here for years...

Nothing's better to get our focus off of the standings (for a second or two, at least) than a trade of two former Knicks. LOL

Moochie Norris - in just the last 2.5 years of his career - has been traded for Clarence Weatherspoon, Mo Taylor, and now Maciej Lampe. In two years. How is this even possible? How many forgettable Knicks is it gonna take for Moochie to run out of trade destinations? Watch, next they'll be sending him to Miami for Shandon Anderson or Michael Doleac. Where's Mike Sweetney wen you need him? Milos? Fwill? How about tim Thomas? KVH anyone?

I miss Kurt Thomas.

I miss Latrell Sprewell.

I miss Mr. Marcus.

I miss Nene.

I miss Miss Mississippi.

Slavko Vranes, Charlie Ward, Howard Eisley

Seriously Isiah inherited one decent player( KT ) and managed to get some decent assets out of crap and draft picks. You could argue against his plan of using long-term contracts as leverage in trades but you can't say he hasn't been unconventional in his approach.

It's like when people say they see no plan. Of course ther'es a plan. When you're on the ground floor, and it's crumbling into the basement, the plan is not to get to the top of the building, the plan is to get to the next floor. Then the next, then the next, you keep adding pieces here and there, until your patchwork design has yeilded something.

This is the dark time, but when your GM is Isiah, you know changes will happen quickly.

Yeah just gettin to the next floor when the building is collapsing aroudn you really works.

I mean who even tries to get the fck out of the collapsing building. Lets just keep runin up hopin that we will run up faster then the floor and stairs are crubmling under our feet. Hey we got Rose's expiring contract now, in a year we can use him to maybe get to that next floor before the roof nails us!

A glimmer of hope maybe?!?
