i don't think we should make any moves, but i was just f'ing around with trade checker and this works:

mo taylor + nate + ariza + spurs #1

for

jamal mashburn + iguodala + 2007 #1

jamal hasn't retired so they get a productive player for the same $$$'s.
and we give them nate + ariza as suitable replacements for iggy.

is this retarded? is this feasible?

Would you still do it if they asked for Frye instead of Ariza and Nate?

I think they would do it. Taylor could help that team off the bench cuz Philly don't have a real sub for Webber.

If they would consider this trade I think Mo for Mash and a filler would be better. Cuz if they get Mash, they would have AD, and Penny as some serious cap coming off the books.

If they could do this trade I would trade Marbs too and try to do the same thing and blow up the cap.......that's why I would take Nate out of the trade.

So I like your idea but Mo for Mash and a filler is better in terms of dropping a bomb on the cap.

I'm not a draft pick whore, lol. Personally I don't care about draft picks cuz the Knicks technically have a draft pick at all the positions except shooting guard. I mean if they give us one then great.Knicks are already getting blown out by 30 by everyone so save Marbs from this mess and continue to drop the bomb on the cap......

mashburn is on the books through next year also - just like mo.

if we get a #1 out of it, that gives us 2 this draft (not including the one we gave up to chicago). we could package both of them to move up or use them in trying to move q1, malik, or jerome.

If Mash is still on the books for next year then there is no point to getting him unless Mash plans on making a serious comeback. Him coming full circle back to NY where he was the King of NYC High School hoops would be awesome.....that's if he plans on trying to make a comeback.
